The Barbaric 996TT Build
I wouldn't worry one bit Abe. First off you are the original owner of the FVD kit so they will replace just one liner if needed at least what I was told and also if you don't want to go that route just about any shop can replicate that liner for you.
Now let's see some anti lag clips

Hey Steve, did you do the obvious and contact Rhonda at FVD? They are very reasonable and if I'm not mistaken the kit isn't too old?
Also I will pm you the shop I was thinking of tomorrow since I would like to verify it first hand.

The Barbaric 996TT Build
Just bought a Rotora brake kit..
I ending up going with their Super Challenge Ceramic brake kit.
I've been trying to decide what brake kit to run and finally made my decision.
I have always heard good things about Rotora and finally had the opportunity to try out my friends Porsche 997 GT3 who is the running their 6-pot forged brake kit non ceramic and was amazed ... The peddle feel was firm... after a couple laps at the track and hard breaking the response these brakes had was phenomenal.
So after talking to Loren and Rotora..he helped me out by making the right decision on my brake set up and told me if I thought there forge kit was impressive .. I got to wait till I try their Super challenge Rpccb Kit .
So long story short I was sold after I saw this video and weight reduction got me big time ...
Rotora offers a lifetime warranty on their ceramic rotors if they ever crack or fade .. We've all heard horror stories about ceramic rotors cracking and replacement cost is ferocious.
Anyways I'll keep you guys posted as soon as I get this kit and I'll let you guys know what I think .

But on the other hand I have something to share with you guys... As you guys know I purchased my transmission from G-box and I was under the impression by "Stan" that I was getting the gt2rs main shaft 1st.2nd,3rd ects.... Turns out I just have a freshly rebuilt 996tt transmission with OEM components...
Long story short.. Bill Rader came to the rescue lol and is now building me a fully built transmission with a much better diff than the OS-Giken as I have been hearing stories..
Here are the mods that Bill and I decided to go with:
-big shaft nut / input
-big shaft nut / pinion
-small shaft nut / input
-input shaft 4 point bearing pinion shaft 4 point bearing diff carrier bearing -small diff carrier bearing large drive flange seals
-GT2RS main shaft 1st 2nd gear
-set BRM/GUARD 3rd gear
-set BRM/GUARD 4th gear set
-steel syncros 3rd thru 5th
-GT3 shift lever on side of box
-CMS billet diff side cover
-Wavetrac TBD
-GT2 slave mod to main case while doing above
- billet 1st 2nd shift fork
-billet 3rd 4th shift fork
-steel cage under gear bearings 2nd 3rd
The transmission is going to be delivered to Undercover next week and I will post some pictures.

Lmao..
No no. We have a few setbacks and it's all taken care of now . My heads had to get ported and my block needed to get boa-tailed .. Carrillo sent out the wrong rods and that gave us some downtime .
Head gasket was also wrong so we waiting on getting the right one . Tim had kidney stones and that set us back .. But it's all taken care of now and we are back on track .
Everything else is coming together .
My motors is in the hand of Tim and he is pretty much putting it back together.
It took longer than we expected to finish but I'm sure it's going to be well worth it at the end .
'll update everyone as soon as I hear from Tim. He's been super helpful and the knowledge this guy has is unreal with this p-cars.
In mean time I'd like to thank Bill Rader for being one of the most genuine individuals I have dealt with. He is a gentleman and a man of his word . He built my transmission and I'm proud to have his name on my car.

Received my Brakes a few days ago and I was more than happy... These things are HUUUGGGEE...
The brakes are a work of art and super light . Quality of the rotors and callipers are second to none.. And I've had a few different brake setups on my previous cars and nothing surprised me like this ... The box the brakes come in is a work of art and is never getting thrown out lol .. Can't wait to install them as soon as I get my car back and update your guys on how they preform which I'm sure its going to be good ..

Also had to get me the CAE shifter to keep me on point, when I need to school a few cats lol.. Helps prevent miss shifting because of its accuracy and it save you time getting into gear.
