**Boost Problem please help **

Since having my car I have had a lot of faults put right or simple check sdone.

These include among a variety of other things;

-MAF sensor check
-Boost Check
-Vacuum Leak Check
-New Spark plugs (2014)

The car has a REVO ECU tuning program which was switched to stock mode (0.6 bar) when I bough the car. Upon putting all power faults right the car was boosting at a normal and healthy 0.6 Bar .

Now, when I got the car switched over to performance mode, where the car should boost at 0.9/1,0 bar its seems to stick to 0.6 bar as a read out on the boost meter with no clear difference in power??

The only exception to this case is that sometimes the boost jumps from 0.6 (under acceleration) to 0.9/1.0 bar of boost when I let off the gas quickly OR when I hit the rev limiter when under gas?

Can anyone advise on this?

As I said the car has had both vacuum and boost check as well as new spark plugs last year. I have been to two REVO dealer who are convinced it is the car and not the program ( I am now convinced also).

Boost leak test. Build a kit, test at 20 psi. If you hear hissing or it can't hold any pressure, Then report back.

If both boost and vac tests are good then it's what's controlling the boost that's at fault. The spikes you see jumping off the gas are the recirc valves not catching the closed throttle in time to vent the surge.

Something isn't commanding the rise in boost from the sounds of it. Has the boost valve (N75?) been checked out? Sounds like you're on W/G spring level of boost. The boost valve bleeds off boost signal to the W/G so that valve is likely the issue or the ECU flash. Not sure how that valve acts when not powered but that's what it sounds like to me.

I notice that you are new here, and please don't take this the wrong way, but what most people/independent shops consider a boost leak test is far from sufficient to detect anything other than a dislodged boost hose.

If you tell me that you are familiar with Markski's method and you or your shop has tested from one turbo while blocking the other, to 20 psi, I'll just shut the hell up. But, your symptoms scream of a leak from one place or another. And the only way to find it is to follow the proper method of leak testing. I conduct one on my car about every 3-4 months! Good luck.

Check the W/G actuators and that the mechanism moves smoothly without catching on anything.

you sound like the client I did last year with a similar situation... I will try to look him up, same issues... once we tuned it the problems went away...
he put the car back to stock and I flashed it remotely...
