Modified stock fuel rails

Hi All,
Just curious if anyone else has modded the stock rails? I did 8AN feeds and 6AN returns...both of which will feed my FPR. The ID of the stock rail is BIG so should handle all the fueling needs for E85 I have. I know it's not as cool as billet rails, but I'm running on fumes here with my budget for my 996 project lol.

the car i just bought has modded rails. when the car was done that was all there was. if you look at the bends they are way smaller than the billet rails. i run billets with an-8 lines through out. its really the proper way to do it. billets are about 500$ or so

If you have seen the SRM rails they're a work of art and light as a feather! I'm not 100% sure what they go for standalone but worth checking out.

The 'bends' on the rail are 6AN ID..3/8" ID which match the ID of the fittings. The inlets which I expanded (drilled out on the driver side only) are 8AN ID which match the fittings now perfectly. So no restriction at all. Some day I'll get the billet rails but I wouldn't call my setup non proper....maybe not fancy shmancy would be a better word, lol ~$26 bucks in ss fittings....a little TIG welding and done.

How do those modded rails look on your the new car? Do you think they were not done properly? Did the old owner mod the rails himself?

they look very similar to yours. they were done by a porsche shop and as far as they don't leak they were done properly an screw on not push on. i just prefer the same diameter from the beginning to the end and i ran an-8 from front to rear

^^oh ok. Well I am running a single 8AN to the engine and then split 8AN y-block to feed each rail, then dual 6AN to the FPR and single 8AN return from the FPR to the tank. I wanted to keep it 8AN as much as possible as well. Curious to see how those modded rails look! Just for comparison really.
