Removing The Front 'Warts' (Bumperettes)

Hi All,
Ive done a search on Rennlist and here and could not find a definitive DIY on getting rid of the front bumperettes other than "take it to a body shop"

From what I understand, I will need new L/R grills as there will be a hole and there is a mounting hole on the bumper as well. Is there anything else that Im missing?

There is no good solution other than buying a bumper without warts.

Welp, guess its time to add that to the to-do list. I'll just mount the stock bumper in the garage like a trophy.

Might compare and contrast the price from the body shop and to buying a new bumper. Just a thought.

There's a front bumper for sale in the marketplace. Buy that and repaint. I just had mine repainted for ~$600. This included getting rid of the license plate holder and smoothing the entire bumper as well removing and reinstalling.

Yeah, I saw that. The SF one? Unfortunately he is hesitant about shipping it.

If you need a body shop in AZ, I'd recommend Elwood Body Works

I had mine filled and repainted from a buddy with a body shop for ~$300. Still have yet to replace my grills I sprayed the metal support behind black and it hasn't bothered me enough to spend $400+ on the wartless grills.
