Does the EVOMS <10k stage 1 build split the case open or does it use a rod that clears the pump?

Basic rods and head studs build for $15k + 2 months of downtime.

It was mentioned to me in the quote this is the price *if they found no other issues with the car, IE. lifters, timing chain / guides, valves, ect.*

Just food for thought - It's also worth mentioning that it seems to be VERY difficult calling places to give you an accurate *this is what you're going to walk out paying* quote.
carrillo or pauter rods run 1700$. race wear headstuds run 700$ the complete gasket seal and rings and bearing kit is 1600$ lifters are 2000$
thats approx 6000$ for parts if theres NOTHING ELSE needed. labor runs approx 120 to 150$ per hr for 60 hrs. that should include the removal and install of the motor. its simply not good math to open the motor for rods and not do headstuds.

I know that's just the game with Porsche, but 2000$ for lifters is insane

Do the intakes need to be done? Wasn't it the exhaust that were updated? I wouldn't mind finding a set of heads to build to cut down on time when I get to this point, get a little porting done since from what I've seen Porsche left a bit on the table. Can the oil pump be swapped without splitting? Liners rods and Pistons don't look too bad to do but I'd want Carillo and that's an interference issue. Really don't want a mortgage sunk in my car when it's all said and done but the stock rods are a liability. Can 997 heads swap over, any other options?

Best option is leave it stock. Anything that involves going inside requires no shortcuts. Sorry

Intakes are the ones that need to be done and since exhaust are cheap might as well do those too.

Oil pump requires case to be split, and Carrillo rods require oil pump to be done. So if your doing rods, Carrillo are going to be more expensive.

If your target is less than 1khp, and your engine mileage is good, do pauter rods, head studs and put the engine back together.

If your target is more hp, than its a totally different build and when factor in fuel system, gearbox, axles a set of lifters are really just a rounding error.

short story i did a very basic build with pauter! (60 hr labor+rods+gasket, bearing) will not go more then that! maybee a3076 later...
after that i need more fuel,better ECU,head work,studs,huge turbo's,headers,huge IC'S,Y pipe,plenum,TB,gt2 tranny,better clutch,axles,more tire,more brake,more maintenance... etc... 30k easy right there !
but i'm curious how much can cost a 2000hp build? 150k? 200?

If Pauter are good to 1K I might be able to stop there. I really see no need to go further for what's probably going to be restricted to a street car, once upon a time I was going to be thrilled to death to get 800whp from my Supra lol. Axles I'd consider but I don't want a mortgage in the gearbox either if I can help it. Fuel I'll have covered (SRM!) and ECU too, those are good insurance and reasonably priced overall. It'll be a bit before I'm to that point so this is all good information and I thank those who're sharing!

If you're going to spend that much for a basic rebuild why not just get a 997.1 motor and swap it in. Stronger rods + updated lifters from the outset, and you can always sell your motor to recoup some of the cost...
