3in SS Kline system
3in SS Kline system
I'm in love with the sound!
So…here is my review on my new Kline exhaust:
A little back story here, when I bought the car it had a 2.5in FVD exhaust with hollowed cats, I have run several others since.
Modded Remus 3in no cats tapered to 70mm
Techart
FVD straight pipes
Then I decided to build my own x pipe…I loved the sound, but decided to add some short mufflers/resonators and when I’d drive alone, I’d crank up the music and go. However when I had a passenger in the car I would realize how loud the drone was!
I then added some anti drone pipes, which did help (keep in mind I fabricated it all)
I was always tempted to listen and look at other's exhaust systems and decided it was time to step up to the plate. I didn’t expect power gains because I was already running a 3in no cat system on my 24/20 billets.
So long story short, Sam (sambott) did me well and we chose the 3in ss system with Ti mufflers. It was beautiful…especially compared to my flat black clumpy welded x pipe!! Install was easy except I put it altogether first…wouldn't fit, so I pulled it apart and put it on piece by piece.
I may still adjust the tips a bit by cutting off an inch or so of the x piece to get them a little closer to the center cut out.
Here is a pic of the exhaust…

I also have some sound clips…PLEASE PUT ON HEAD PHONES TO GET THE REAL EFFECT!!! There is a little drone, but I’ve learned keeping the RPMs up a bit helps and it is way less than the exhaust I built (duh right? I don’t build them for a living)
I daily drive my car too, so drone is somewhat of a concern, but man I didn’t expect the bump in power! Quicker spool and breathes well up top. Around town it’s pretty mild mannered for a 3in no cat system, but open it up and it sounds awesome! I have a hard time keeping my foot out of it. In the one part of the clip you can see a little flame...

I whole heartedly recommend this exhaust. If you are a power junky like me get the 3in...if you wantmore subdued sound I bet the 2.5 or 70mm systems would work well.

Well, I have fallen in love with my car again...not that it was ever "slow"
Late last year I did a clutch, did the GT2 slave conversion, drilled out the shifter weights, and installed 911tuning's inlets.
Now I did the Kline exhaust and had Markski re look at my race tune (since I had some fun gas in this weekend) added some boost.
The car once again has the "scary" fast feeling. I have to switch to street tune today though, gotta fill up with pump gas. I even beat a bike, wish I knew what kind it was but he gave me a solid thumbs up.

Thanks for the review stilov. Very helpful.
I've got one on tap from Sambo as well and am looking forward to getting a 3" Kline on the car.
Can you still hear the turbo spool up? Hard to tell from the videos if audible.
