Whine from transmission under any load

did a quick down and dirty measurement when i swapped the wavetrac into the built trans . came up with a mere 1mm difference. meh no biggie. had the trans at the shop for sincere replacement and asked the shop to check the backlash and side spacing. they brought it down to less then 1/4 mm with proper shimming. told me the 1 mm would have killed the diff in short order
was a great point re the wavetrk since this could possibly? have contributed to his issues. but as you know all bearings go sooner or later. they cant 'breathe" and the grease just dries out from the hot undercooled box.

my gbox guy had to call a bud of his to dbl check shim spec since all they ever install were guards. at first they didn't even wanna do it lol. then they drove mine post install = no more laughter

Funny you mention that. I have never forgotten that pwdrhound has a trans cooler. I asked him for his entire parts list and its tacked on a wall. Gl w the build btw.
