GiroDisc's Installed in the 996TT
Anti squeal will not work. The only way you can keep PFCs or other race pads quiet is to maintain a layer of transfer material on the rotor surface. To do so you will need to bring the pads and rotors to 700-800F which obviously is not achievable with just a few hard stops. This transfer layer will quickly wear off then the brakes are not hot as the pads are very abrasive when cool. There is really no way you can maintain race pads at their optimum operating temperature on the street... My experience with PFCs is that they don't squeal much but my car is used 90% at the track.. They also don't reach their optimum friction levels until the 2nd or third lap.
You kidding me? Anti squeal is perfect for a crusty mess next time you replace your brake pads. (guess who I found this out from.)
Anyways, PFC's08 perform extremely well. Noise, is definitely there. Don't think this is the, "Every Day Brake Pad." Its not, unless, you're at the track every other 3rd day.
Dust levels, are much better than the OEM pad. Noise level is X5 after the 3rd day of driving (100mi.). Dump trucks actual sound pleasant now. Thanks for trying to disguise my car "Waste Management!"
One track day hides this for at least 100 street mi.
BTW, I have seen some great track times at the track I attend with this rotor. (Not by me)
Pwdrhound is one, Kills me, but, I have seen some others feel more confidence at the end of their straights with their additional braking ability.

Best there is...
Yes, will try my insane confidence next track day. Maybe I need the rears, to have the complete evaluation??
Are we splitting hairs (100 µm) here?
Need to really push my car like last season to know.

Time trials Sunday...
On the PFC 08/11s, I get about 12 days (1000 track miles) on my fronts and about double that (2000) on my rears. On the Giro rotors I get 15-17 days on the fronts and again close to double that on the rears..
Very little if at all. The MX72 pads are the best dual purpose pads you can buy in my opinion. I ran a set a few years back.
I finally had some time to get out & bed the brakes/rotors in on Saturday. I made 10-12 runs from 100 down to about 40. Looks like I transferred material from the pad to rotor. Not sure if I do a second round as I'm going to VIR next weekend for a 3 day HPDE event. Just wanted some thoughts.
