looking good (especially the color)! I couldn't stand the car without lowering it. Felt like a pillow going down the road. Springs bring you down and flat. You gonna do a 4 corner alignment? Be sure to measure ride height correctly. I have the formula for all settings based on ride height, ping me if you need them.

ok, thanks!

Had to lower mine, it did transform the car. It did cost me few extra bucks to fix torn parts but it was worth, car drives so much better and no noise from front suspension.

Does anyone have torque specs, I am seriously considering doing this myself. Even though my mechanical knowledge is quite limited.

yes, trust me, if the car is 10+ years old upper mounts and bearings are worn. also bumpstops from heat.

If you buy coilovers, make sure they come with top mounts all-ready.

if you hear any clunk noise when going over the cracks in the road at low speed that's upper mount or bearings are just shot.

I did springs cuz it cost me nothing for labor and i bought them used for $150. and i hated how front was so damn high. now the car looks so freakin good, and drives well, not pulling or anything. like its on rails.

I agree. My C4S had been lowered and I loved the way it looked and handled. When I bought my turbo I was surprised at how high it rode, with lots of sway. Put the H&R springs on within a month.

folks laugh, but i swear by my mo30 w h&r's setup. the body roll on this car before sways and lowered etc ( and motor mounts and t mount etc etc ) was unbearable! and actually unstable at speed in corners.

not so now i'm on my 3rd set?? ( they do lose their spring, but so what,.. they are also only 300 a set! )

there must be a reason that guys still put lowering springs on 991 turbos and find that suitable. how awful can they be! ( a rhetorical question... )

^_ whats the point of me buying 3-4k coilovers ? IF i dont track the car, many times I've seen coil-overs leaking as well. and need re-built.

I put maybe 20 miles per week. Someday ill buy coilovers. for now? I wanted to get rid of that 4x4 look. I have 50k on the car atm. after lowering, car handles much better-and I'm not sure why some people say its bouncy...its not. weird.

^ i couldn't answer that. i dunno either..as it is I've got a full gt3 setup ( coils ) just waiting for me ( but theyre not rebuilt! ) and i resist installing it because i really like the way my car handles on twists and i dont feel like tearing out my perfectly decently working setup esp for some that are used. i *might* feel different if they were already revalved..but they're not ha
