Well, I have decided to give the stage 4 route a try first. If it's still too slow I'll give the 640GT a try. If that doesn't work, I'll check myself into a mental hospital!

You know.. I hear this at least a few times per week Actually I think it's a great way to do things... start at one level and appreciate the power. Learn it, love it and then get "used" to it and then go for more....

PS I'll see you in the same hospital soon.

Are you going to also get the race fuel program?

Hey Sharky,

How much power are you estimating the race gas adds on the base stage 4 program?

No, because I only have access to 101 and Evo said I need to run 100% 103.

Heya George,

I'll be completely honest on this one... Since last year James and I have been doing the GT640s over the 600/Stage IVs- except on the GT2s where that kit is already such a handful. This past 2-3 months we've done 5 local GT2s with the Stage IV kits. The only thing is they have all had Europipe Stage II Quiet's on them. On pump gas they made between 528-541rwhp and on race gas that shot up to 558-564. We adjusted the waste gates also. Obviously there's more drive train loss on the AWD dynos and this was for RWD tests. I can't find the torque numbers but they were pretty close....

From the owners point of view most of them much prefer the 100 octane file since the timing is much more aggressive

Thanks for the feedback. I don't know if I am ready for a GT kit, but the stage 4 race sounds like fun.

Thanks again.

I know this is a new discussion, but related.

How much hp does the gt700/750/800/800+ kits make on the 91 file? I seem to recal those are race gas numbers.

and what kind of turbos doeach of these cars have? I heard the 700 use the 640's still right?

I'm always interested in an education so at the risk of hijack, my car was done early 2002 with K16/24 hybrid, program and Cargraphic exhaust. It seems no one does hybrid turbo anymore so what was the rationale at the time? What is the HP limit w/o changing turbo? TIA

I believe all the GT kits use hybrid turbos.

I will have to get Todd to get me a Stage 4 with race fuel dyno. He is the keeper of the dyno computer. I will do my best to post them today.....
Hi Nate,

Did you get those dyno graphs yet? I am really looking forward to seeing the curves. Thanks.
