Are PCCB wheel clearances the same as non-PCCB?

Just trying to understand if the fitment for X-50 with PCCB and non PCCB are universal. It doesn't appear that there is any difference in OEM part numbers, but that doesn't necessarily answer the question. I just want to make sure that I won't have any clearance issues on aftermarket turbo wheels (known to fit on a non-PCCB), but mine has PCCB.

PCCB/yellow runs 350mm discs vs 330mm discs on 6TT with iron/red
Less wheel clearance with PCCB, but shouldn't have issue with any decent 18" options

Thanks Rob, was looking to get a set of custom wheels, but they only have the measurements on the non PCCB. I never want to make assumptions.

Does the company have brake measurements for a 997tt? That will work for brake clearance purposes

That would work using 997 TT steel brakes, as they also have 350mm rotors. 997 TT PCCBs have 380mm rotors.

Are the 997tt offsets the same as the 996 TT? I will call the vendor tomorrow. Sounds like they need to use the 997tt brake measurement.

different wheel offsets but the hub face/caliper relation is the same...if the spoke 'profile' fits a 997tt it'll fit a 996tt

Might be easier if you share what wheels you are considering. Do you have a picture? I'm not aware of any 18s that would not fit the 997TT/996TTPCCB 350 brakes.

They are Works Brombacher in 18". The wheels are custom order to fit, but they don't have the specs for 996tt with PCCB in their database.

http://www.workwheelsusa.com/product...y=38&wheel=104

From Works- "If the brakes are the same as the 996 GT2 with PCCB, then 18 inch would NOT
work (We have data on the 996 GT2)."

Well, then it clearly won't work. The old school deep dish designs with a "lip" will limit spoke to caliper clearance as the spokes are positioned closer to the center of the wheel. I am assuming that you are looking at a 8.5" wheel. Do they have a 9" wheel available? 9" will be better than an 8.5 anyway if you are looking at running an 245 tire. See if they have an 18x9 ET40-45 in the wheel design you want. That would be ideal from a performance standpoint and give you the clearance you need.

I have a new set of 18" tires, so really wanted to stay 18. The fronts are 225's, so a 9"rim would be pushing it. Sounds like I am going to need to make a compromise somewhere, by going with a different wheel design or move to 19's and buy new tires.

Thanks everyone for your help.

Yeah, 225s are way too skinny for these cars... Go with a 235 or better a 245 for which a 9 is ideal

GT2/3 have a slightly lower offset disc(caliper closer to wheel)...might fit a TT...agree you need a template if they can't figure it out
