Instrument Cluster Repair options?

Instrument Cluster Repair options?
My recently acquired 996TT was missing the clock reset **** on the instrument cluster when I bought it, so I purchased a replacement set of *****. They arrived in the mail today so I went out to install the missing ****.
The new **** would not install, so I put a flashlight on it, removed the trip odometer reset **** for comparison, and immediately realized that it was just a missing ****; the actual shaft the **** slides onto was broken off.
So what are my repair options given this? Do I attempt to carefully JBWeld the new **** to the broken shaft, or should I be thinking about acquiring a salvage cluster to obtain a replacement **** shaft to replace my broken one? As it is, I currently cannot set the clock to the correct time.
Advice, please.

I did this repair and its not hard but patience us needed. Look on ebay for a broken manual boxster cluster. here the thread that shows how to disassemble the cluster.

I had the exact same thing when I purchased my TT. I ordered a new **** and then found the original broken **** was in the glove box. I did what you suggest using gel super glue holding it in place with masking tape to cure. That was almost three years ago and it is still in place but I am real easy in any use of it. It did do some research before I repaired it and found that some others have been able to replace the whole shaft by getting one from a used Boxster cluster (the early ones are the cheapest on EBay). The only issue with this approach is having to remove the cluster and disassemble. Good luck!

I did some further searching on the forums and discovered that a guy had a mold made of the plastic stems that break and sells replacement stems (which are unavailable from Porsche). Looks like the fix is remove the cluster, open it up, and replace the broken stem.
Here's a link to the part on eBay for anyone else wanting to replace the broken stem instead of gluing it:
