Momo Wheel/Hub install - Slipring Question

Been bothering pwdrhound and 32Krazy on this but figured id ask the last question I had in a new thread as it may help someone else.
I have my wheel off and resistors on the slip ring - thanks 32Krazy for sending some.

Now the Momo Hub will not go on without the slipring removed - am I removing the slipring? If so how and if so doesn't it take the airbag and horn wiring with it?
Pics below showing my status.

Slipring installed still - momo hub won't fit

You can NOT use the clock spring with any aftermarket hub like the Momo, OMP, Rothsport, etc.

Assumed that to be the case - is it simply removing the ring and the associated "tape" and wires? Because they obviously have to stay for the airbag light etc?
Right?
Thanks

Cut the plug off the clockspring and use that for your connections

Thanks I actually just disconnected it behind the slip ring more in the column and used the resistor there. I will have to hook up the horn from the red connector at a later time

I have been lazy and have not done my wheel yet. I have been looking to find a junked Boxster to grab the plug from so I can return my car back to 100% stock if I wanted.

Clocksprings on ebay are about 75$ cheaper than a wheel
