Hey Chris well a friend and a member on here with an identical SC m3 as mine (SCM3) also has a modded porsche turbo. He told me coming from a stripped high hp m3 and high revving, iw ont like the turbo and even at stage 2 with its numbers it still isnt as fast as M3 pulling on highway, but in 1st or 2nd forget about it, hands down the turbo.

But anyway i didnt believe him one bit seeing he was an M3 freak as i was, and i LOVE the turbo dont get me wrong, and yea stage 3 and def 4 will prob kill the M3, but its still such a different feel. Im prob just going to have to go stage 5+ LOL

thanks kev. I think id rather support the 6speedonline vendors. I didnt think anyone sold merc stuff on here.. ill have to give evo a call. hopefully their prices are better than the other retailers. So the consensus is kleeman > renntech?

Damm, lucky guy you are, e55 and GT2 haha.. Well as you all know i have my 996tt and sold the 540 hp SC M3 for it.. Turbo is def a great car and i love it, but im not having fun in it at all and even at stage 2 i think my M3 was much quicker from a highway pull Maybe its the AWD that makes everything so subdued and im a RWD freak, i dunno.

ANYWAY i was looking at an E55 which is cutting to the chase, but i think i would be crazy to trade up turbo for e55, how do you like it? I think i need a damm GT2

im a regular on the bmw forums as I have a fully bolt on e46 m3. It has full interior and lacks the S/c so its not nearly as fast as yours. Ive followed the progress on your car and it was fun to watch. In the end though, its still an m3. M3s are a dime-a -dozen down here. Everyone from 80 year old men with SMG to 16 yearold girls have an m3. Not saying that the m3 is a ****ty car (i have had 3), but a turbo p-car is a different level.a stock turbo, opr even stg 1 may not be as fast as your car, but remember how much work you put into your car and compare it to the nearly stock, off-the-lot car.... pretty impressive.

On another note, weve had a 993 C4S and now the Gt2. Althoguh the gt2 is clearly much muich faster, the 4wd makes the car "feel" slower. I took the girlfriend out in the gt2 and the e55 back to back runs yesterday. I cant do full throttle on the e55 for 1k miles so i took it easy (75% throttle non-sport automatic mode) 0-100 and the gt2 20-100 full throttle. She said the e55 felt MUCH faster. I couldnt believe it! stg 2 for the gt2 is being ordered very soon!... unfortunately, (or forunately depending on how you look at the situation) were getting the chip and pulley from either renntech or kleeman soon too....

Funny I thought he admitted 4 things he can’t spell for ****! Just kidding..

MB go Kleenman very very pricey but well worth it, and yes the E55 feels like a beast...

I love my M3 even though they are everywhere...the only P-Cars however that I would own are GT2/3 or CGT (ya in my dreams)

Well i mean your correct about their popularity, but im talking from an aspect of performance and total feel of the car, ic ould care less how popular they are and as you can see i had both lol!

But my turbo is a stage 2, and still feels faster than my M3 but the speedo doesnt show for it. Even acceleration down the street or highway feels quick, holds you back but not FAST, fast! E55 feels alot fasterbecause no spool up and its an automatic, just like an automatic stock turbo feels faster than my car because you dont have to manually shift and the turbo has its spool right into the next gear, but i would EAT a tip TT stage 1 or stock lol..
I dunno diff feel, yes its impressive that a stock one is fast, but comparing even my stage 2 to my M3, its not near stock anymore you know?!? Oh well, wanna trade? I want a GT2!

Of course. If I were in your shoes I would go with Evolution Motorsports as well.

In my humble opinion Kleemann is one of the best in the biz when it comes to Merc motors. I have not had any experience with RennTech so I can't comment on your last statement. I'm sure they're also really good seeing as how they have a thriving business and many repeat customers.

You should post your E55 question on MB Forums.
