The bite is relative, IMO...Through the experience with driving the car whether it's a GT2 or GT3, you will learn what to do and what not to do...If your a driver that has been driving awd and then jumps into a rwd car and tries to drive it maxed out the first time out, then shame on you...You will get over your head fast. As long as you take the time to get the feel of the car with it's handling characteristics, anyone can drive a GT car as fast and virtually as safely as an awd car...
Very true, I dont drive the car the same as I would the Turbo, I dont drive it much but when I do I feel it out and learn more about it each time, its a 1 step at a time thing, is more thrilling each time, exactly just dont get in over your head, I agree with offroadr35, too many people are influenced easily, experience is first hand.

thank you. someone finally making some sense.

Look guys, the GT2 is not possessed or evil. It also happens to be a VERY well balanced car. The first magazine reviews decided they were going to call it difficult to drive and everyone just believed them. The 360 is RWD, you don't hear people saying that they are possessed.

It's just a car. It has to obey the laws of physics. If you understand those laws and how they apply to a RWD car then it will be a very rewarding experience.
You bring up some good points. I have driven rear wheel drive cars my entire life. I have owned 5 BMW's, all rear wheel drive and never felt unsafe. I owned a slightly modified M5 for 6 months and always felt in control and able to countersteer any mistakes. To be fair, almost every BMW can outhandle its Audi "quattro" counterpart. I have never felt unstable or unsafe in a BMW. That said, no BMW weighs just over 3000 lbs and has 460hp either. Both tremendous cars. The GT2's purpose is much more focused, unforgiving. For everyday use, in Chicago, and with my driving skill, I would take a TT any day. I can drive much faster and much safer in a TT than I could in a GT2.

What are you talking about? A tt with stage 4GT and coilovers with adjustable sways less axpensive than a new 2 and will blow it away at any decent sized track.

and if i sank 50 grand into a Mitsu EVO it would blow away that turbo on any decent sized track for half the price. That's really not the point

not really, because then you would be in a EVO which doesn't compare on hundreds of other different levels, whereas the GT2 & Turbo are separated primarily on performance.

Offroad35 - what are you talking about?

Like alamein said, there is little difference between the GT2 and the tt. Huge difference between an EVO and a tt.

The whole point of this post is why is the GT-2 values plummet. The reason they plummet IS BECAUSE THE GT-2 IS A BAD VALUE! Now, that does not mean it's a bad car, just a bad value!

Maybe answering this question will help, why does the GT-2 cost $70k more than a tt? Skipping $12 grand for bad PCCB brakes (maybe we should call it $90k difference because you need to replace the brakes on a GT-2).

Rokitman - maybe just cooling for the brakes, if not, fine, throw in bigger brakes and you still are below the cost of a GT2 with a much faster car.
