Silvers PSI 480 SPANKS 06 ZO6....
Well, not really spanked. But the cars ran dead even, Silvers car might have been a wee bit quicker. But the Z06 is DAMN FAST......Assumed my position about 100 yards behind to be an independent observer.........
I'll say this, the Z is a great looking car, and will snap your neck if you aren't ready for it.
George, I hope you're reading this

There was also that GT2 that pulled 10 cars on a new C6 Z06.
Those guys on the Vette forum were shocked that a GT2 crushed their beloved Z06.
Chalk up another victory for Porsche, since most of the time the C6 Z06 would spank our turbos.

Craig,
you will walk a c6 z06. I felt I ran even with it but this was me behind him at the stoplight. It turned green, we both quickly rolled on the throttle, and he boiled 2nd and had to have it on the floor after second hooked up and I was pushing him the whole time. If we lined up head to head from a stand still I think his traction difficulties against my tip, the tip would pull early and never get reeled in. At least not by 135 or so. George is a great guy and he is still learning that car. I do think it was pretty close but iwas a bit surprised to hang. I figured my illustrious torque converter would surely eat some of my power before it got to the wheels but it goes like hell. From a roll it depends on what speed and gear. I do think there could situations where at certain speeds he could get the jump. We should try some highway rolls. Kudos to George for buying it and letting us get to know it. I want to drive it because that old muscle thing was my gig not too long ago. Later.
This was not bad for an auto with the PSI 480 and EP2. I enjoyed the run.

Yea, great guy. He doesn't have a lot of seat time in the Z but he's a good driver. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the future. But then, George is as bad as Watt, never never keeps a car longer than 6 months

Did Watt sell his Z06 yet? I heard it was for sale. It's about time he is back to Porsche.
A little OT but a couple of friends of mine ran a new M5 and a GT2 today (Sunday) and the M5 and GT2 were dead even to 155 then the GT2 left as the M5 is top speed governed..but ya gotta give the M5 its due respect the curb weight diff is huge and the HP diff is only +40hp to the M5 as the GT2 is a Euro Club Sport factory hp output is somewhere +/- 469hp or so..a few more then the US model

I have yet to run my brother's new E60 M5, but he did tangle with a new Z06 on the freeway and said the Vette pulled on him decisively. I don't think he ran into the speed limiter.
He is anxiously waiting for Dinan to develop a flash to remove the governor on his M5 though. I believe it can go almost 200 without the limiter. Wow!
