Another catastrophic cooling system failure

Not yet bro this happened about 24 hours ago, but I'm about to start pulling it this weekend. With the engine still in the car I can't even see which one failed on me. I champing at the bit to get this puppy pulled!!! I can't wait to get to the bottom of this.
Take your time, lots of pictures, especially of the routing of the sense lines...I took hundred of pictures while doing mine and if you need any help do not hesitate to ask.... Do not save on cheap o-rings even if one of them is over $10.00 (the one for the fuel line, color beige part#99970750640). You don't want, the ones under the oil cooler, to leak after the engine installation ;-)

its much safer to use truck stands and use either concrete blocks or wood to crib the front wheels when the motor is released. or do like i did and get a maxjax. it pays for itself in safety and ease of getting the car in the air. if anyone plans on keeping a porsche and forking on it in your garage its a win win and the best mod you can have
LOVE My MaxJax. Car was on it tonight getting new intercooler inlet hoses. Didn't even get dirty.
I'd love to. Putting the car on stands is a huge time waster and PITA, however maxjax are not in my current parts budget
I'm sure I'll be able to justify them one day, but for now I'm stuck doing it the hard way.

Lookup wood cribbing, it's not hard to make, it's cheap, and it's safe. You can use it under the jackstands and lower the extensions so it's not too wobbly. Under the front wheels is a good place for it too and built right the cribbing can be stacked so you can raise the car high slowly. You're probably going to want to use an HF hydraulic to drop the motor and to get it in there is going to require a bunch of height.
I second placing wheels under the car too! I do this on all cars when I yank a wheel so if a jack or stand slips the wheel prevents a crush.

Sorry about your initial issue but I like where this thread is going. Lots of good tips already. Tires under the car is a great one. I'm always nervous about the stands failing when I'm under my car and pulling on something with a wrench. Can you imaging getting killed by your Porsche while not even driving it?
