rear tire pressure
I am running gt2 size tires on all 4 corners. my rears after a few thousand miles are wearing more in the center. I have been running stock pressure, which I am now realizing is too much. What do you guys run for rear psi? How much should I lower it? Same question for fronts I suppose, tread looks good, so maybe I should leave it alone up there.
Thanks!
Thanks!

My street wheels and tires are stock 18s. F32 R 36. When I ran higher, wore out centers of the rears. Rides better too. Have never understood owners manual's R44 recommendation.

reason Porsche spec'd the pressure so high was to ensure you could head straight-out to autobahn/etc and run a VMAX... ie. no tire warm-up

that 44 rear number is also for a fully loaded car. ( people luggage etc. ) never above 40 here, and finding 36-38 rear cold is best. though when in doubt, a one occupant car at f/r 36/40 is pretty widely accepted to be "in the zone" and then just adjust to taste.

I run 32/32 on 295/35-18 and 245/35-18 with stock width F14's. The change to the higher sidewall and lower pressure did wonders for my DD ride with no adverse side effects. If I was going to track I would go up but I don't track this car, just drive it 17k mi/yr.

How's the clearance up front with those tall tires? Assuming no issues out back?

I have been running 295/35/18 and 245 /40 /18 for many years on stock rims and just changed to BBS RS GTs with no rubbing issues. 40 cold R ,32 cold F.
Better ride , more ground clearance, less chance of dented rim .
