If I had another 100k a year in income for maintenance and mods, sure I'd consider it

No ****ing way...

Your car is worth at least 40. Plus another 50k? So you are going to pay basically 90k for the gallardo... 05 is only the 2nd year, its old, sure its got low miles, but its for a reason... the **** breaks.

Finally, those arent all that desirable. IDK what they go for but I certainly dont want one for more than 70k... But I dont know much about their market.

I'll probably do the same thing. Gotta scratch the itch. except an 09 gallardo with the forged motor. I know I've been spoiled with a Porsche and I'll probably regret the buy when I don't have the reliability anymore and way higher costs.

Manual G is a good financial move. $90k for a G with that mileage and stick is a good deal if the car is clean.

Maintenance on a G is no different from a 996TT.

I have 115000 miles on a stock clutch tuned turbo. Show me a lambo that has done that. I also got a new alternator from autozone for 175$ the costs are absolutely not the same.

I've had my 01 Turbo for nearly 10 years. Great car but I've had the same itches lol. I nearly sold mine to get an Atom. I'm a driver and want the rawness instead of refinement. Hard to say - let your butt decide if you can drive the Lamborghini.

Note the the early Gallardos were not that fast. A tuned 996 turbo is much fast. A mild turbo upgrade and it makes the Gallardo look like an mr2. The 5.0 Gallardo also have higher maintenance cost over the 5.2 as well as all around maintenance is more. You do get a little more of a cool factor though

R8 V10 with a 6spd is a car I would trade my 996tt for with some cash on top. Gallardo does nothing for me...
