wheel spacers for 996tt

What's a good brand and size if I wanted to add spacers for my turbo to make the stock wheels have a more aggressive stance.

Thanks for any pointers

I believe the only option you have is the 5mm spacers. I bought a set from Barrier Porsche in seattle for $497.34 after the Porsche Club discount. The kit comes with 20 new longer bolts and new locking lug wrench. Although 5mm might not seem like a lot, the change is noticable.

Here were my friend's TTs, the one with the back wheels has 15mm H&R spacer at the back and the silver wheels without any spacer. Both were lower with H&R coilover with same ride hight. The spacer really fill up the wheels gap better. If you want to look like GT2 wheels, you can add 15mm at front and 20mm at the back to have the agressive look.

Thanks Ray! That looks pretty mean!

H&R is the way to go. They're $99 per set plus 20 longer wheel bolts. The only problem is if you ever get custom wheels you have to change back to stock wheel bolts.

I have a set of 15MM whcih I plan on using in front. Thanks Bill!

Does anyone know if wider than 20 MM will fit in back? and will that accomodate 315s?

Hell as long as we're greedy, will 20MM plus fit in front?

Maybe some of the veterans can chime in here... It's been a hot topic lately!

How do you polish your stock wheel lips like that?

They just polish the outer lip, take it to a shop they can do it. Im just doing all gloss black for my track wheels (stockers).. But why would you want to go 20mm+ int he rear. damm and i thought 15mm front/back was enough

Maybe i'll do 15mm front and 20mm rear like you mentioned, hmm..

So you can fit 20 rear and 15 front with a lowered suspension on stock wheels and not rub? Is fender rolling required? I was looking at possibly buying some BBS RS GT's and they don't come in GT2 sizes on 18" wheels. I would like to add some spacers to get a better look and I would assume, better cornering capacity.

Ray, by any chance do you have any close up shots of your friends car with the black stock wheels?? Also he doesnt have any spacers in front, just 15mm rear correct?

BTW can anyone check this out and let me know what they think, this is 2 spacers for the price of 1 wheel that i have seen on some websites, i wonder if what you pay is what you get applies to this

I don't have any close up pic rigth now. Below is a better shot "i think". This black TT only have 15mm spacer at rear and no spacer at front. It still have alot of room for bigger spacer for both front and rear. So I think 15 front and 20 back setup will be fine without rubbing.

The finish of the wheels is all paint like the factory options. Black center, silver paint on outer lips. It look so nice on black TT.

Actually, my 19" cargraphic is 19" X 11" ET36 at the back. I've add 15mm spacer. So the offest right now is ET21. My also lower with H&R coilover and I've no rub issue. Stock rear wheels is 18X11 ET45, adding a 20mm spacer, it will be ET25 which is still 4mm higher than my current setup.

I have a pair of 15mm Hubcentric spacers which I bought from Ralph Boothe. Used it for less than 1 month. PM me if you are interested.
