$1000 For 3M Bras Expensive?

I was quoted $1000 to do a custom 3M clear paint protection for the GT2 front, mirrors and door edge. Plus $300 for tinting. Does the price seems fair.

Vince,

These prices are at the high end of the market. He better do damn good work for that coin. He should have some pictures or a way of demonstrating he's experienced.

I can't remember, have you painted your chin spoiler and side rockers? If not, I would do that.

In tampa that would be very high for both. My TT was done at the dealership for $600. These were pieces already cut for the car and ready to apply. They are able to do custom areas and will ask you if you want other areas done. this may be how you got to 1k. some people will have the whole hood done so you cant see the fine line 1/3 ot the way up. Some of the custom areas that people do is around the wheels and on the roof above the front windshield. my car has an aero package and so I had the front lip done also. the custom pieces are very negotiable and still shouldnt cost what you were quoted. (my guy didnt charge at all)
As for the tint, again in tampa a good job reputable guy (like one that did my car) lifetime warranty cost my $120.
Just some info for reference FWIW

Lightbulb clear bra

here in northern ca, premier is the best company doing this kind of service, i have worked along side sammy and winston a few times when they were wrapping the whole front end of the car(custom not pre- cut) and recently they wrapped one of my customers enzo and carrera gt, the whole car!!, five guys all night, you don't want to know how much that cost, so if the quality is like premier's a thousand dollars is not out of line at all.

we get charged around 1,500.00 for Porsche work all the time. but again, quality of installation & after service is just as important as the product itself. a good install & service worth the money so check the work of ur guy first.

Ironically, I was quoted $996 for clearbra for the CTT at the dealer today. That included the mirrors and the front end but only about 6" up the hood.

detailing dynamics

from what i see, detailing dynamics is a quality outfit, howevever pressure washing the engine bay on that cgt gives me the *****'s, try that on flat twelve ferrari engines and YOU will have fouled plugs , and a sundrie of other problems. those inground lifts and lot's of light tells me they strive for perfection, i know they are busy, but what happens when they get snowed in back there? i am dead in the water when it rains pardon the pun , i'm mobile , but also don't take my truck in the rain(dialed in black truck) if it snowed here i would be out of business.
