K16/24 vs K16/billet
K16/24 vs K16/billet
Have any of you guys gone from K16/24 to K16/billet? Just wondering if there is enough of a gain to make the change worthwhile.
Bit of background - Im running GT2 RS coolers, Milteck exhaust, 750cc injectors, turbosmart wastegates 890nm clutch and pre turbo free flow pipe work etc etc. So the hardware is ready for it if it’s enough of an improvement to warrant the cost.
Thanks in advance.

FWIW I found my billet K16s to provide PLENTY of juice for the street and even at a Mid-Ohio track day. The spool is incredible (cat-less) and I'm dead even with my friends MKIV Supra making ~600whp. I find it more fun to use more of the power band with 600-650hp than having 800+hp and only being able to use a small portion of that power. In 22+ years experience building, tuning, racing vehicles, unless you're goal is a drag/time attack monster it's really not enjoyable on the street.

I really enjoyed my first 996 turbo with upgraded 16 billet turbos. The thing I enjoyed most about the 16s, were the quick spools. I recently purchased Crosby's 03 turbo (built motor with upgraded 24s) and it's a beast that spools pretty quick but not as quick as I recall the billet 16s. Either way, I don't think you can go wrong with upgrading either to billet wheels. Just my lousy two cents.
