Thinking of changing out my fuel pump, car makes 1000 wheel horsepower, looking for an intank set up, currently have a -8 and a -10 feed and return running to the original sending unit.

Just curious what’s out there right now for good mostly plug-in-play pumps?

I'm using protomotive's in-tank setup. Its a dual pump setup..

Just converted over. I'm at the same power level. Was tired of leaning out on gas and and smallish injectors.

We are using the TiAutomotive Brushless pump with the PWM controller which continually varies pump output from 40% to 100% output based on boost and engine load. This is an extremely efficient pump operating at a max current draw of about 11 amps. This is the OEM pump used in the Bugatti Veyron. We have this set up as a returnless fuel system with a single supply line going to the engine with no return similar to 997 and later generation cars. This completely eliminates any reheating of the fuel due to a lack of a return line from the engine back to the fuel tank.

That looks like a nice solution, is that what you use in your race car?

Correct. It really simplifies everything because all the fuel components including the fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, and fuel damper are in the front trunk near the fuel tank. The single fuel line that goes to the rear of the car simply splits at the engine with Y into two fuel lines each one feeding the respective fuel rail.

Is it true for cars with fuel pump upgrades that you shouldn’t run them before half tank?
