2006 Turbo S vs 2006 Z06

How will a Turbo S fair against a Z06 from say 60-140 ? How about a GIAC flashed Turbo S vs the Z06?

No 996 turbo produced for '06... If you mean an '05 like Luis said, the ZO6 would be faster, at least on paper.

No sir. However, I am not sure if you are joking or not. The C6 Z06 will eat the 997TT up in all aspects. I can't imagine a single "event" in which the 997TT will beat the new Z06 in expect for which is the most expensive. The new Z06 is going to be hard to touch for a good while to come.

Umm question, how could you come straight out with these claims, when the 997tt isnt out and has not been tested yet? Until then, i highly doubt your right!

When somebody gets 2 identical cars and tests them with a pro driver at the same place in a variety of tests, then I'll accept the results. Until that point, every other opinion, claim, expectation, story, seat-of-the pants thing, etc. is not valid. I'd be willing to bet when it finally happens as 997 TT vs. C6 Z06, there will be a slight advantage to the Porsche. My guess is if they did it now with a 05 Turbo S coupe vs. vette the result would be the opposite. Just a guess like everyone else.

Vince I really hope you are kidding and your body was shaking violently after you saw what you typed.

Red devil I agree its all pure speculation as we havent got the 997TT stateside yet. As always time shall tell the truth, I honestly believe the 997TT will be a tad faster in real world driving, but than again I am TOTALLY biased.

The '05 will get mowed. If it's chipped, it would be a close race. Not sure about the 997 turbo.

Stock 996 Turbo S vs C6Z: The Z06 will pull away decisively

Flashed Turbo S vs C6Z: Very close, but I think the Z may still have a slight advantage

997 Turbo vs C6Z: If Porsches claims are true, this should be close race.

The new Z06 is very impressive for the cheap price. I would not under estimate it.
