When somebody gets 2 identical cars and tests them with a pro driver at the same place in a variety of tests, then I'll accept the results. Until that point, every other opinion, claim, expectation, story, seat-of-the pants thing, etc. is not valid. I'd be willing to bet when it finally happens as 997 TT vs. C6 Z06, there will be a slight advantage to the Porsche. My guess is if they did it now with a 05 Turbo S coupe vs. vette the result would be the opposite. Just a guess like everyone else.

Red devil I agree its all pure speculation as we havent got the 997TT stateside yet. As always time shall tell the truth, I honestly believe the 997TT will be a tad faster in real world driving, but than again I am TOTALLY biased.

Stock 996 Turbo S vs C6Z: The Z06 will pull away decisively
Flashed Turbo S vs C6Z: Very close, but I think the Z may still have a slight advantage
997 Turbo vs C6Z: If Porsches claims are true, this should be close race.
The new Z06 is very impressive for the cheap price. I would not under estimate it.
