Maserati gransport v. 996tt v. sl600

I have been a long time lurker on the forum and have just sold my m3 so I am in the market for a new car! First of all, I realize all three of these cars are rather different, however these are the ones that I am considering as of right now in the range of < 100k. I am looking for a used model with low mileage.

I have a jeep commander as my poor weather, grocery getting car, but I will drive whatever car I buy at least half the week or more. Also, whatever car I buy I will immediately change out suspension, wheels, and some aesthetic mods followed by power mods depending on what vehicle I choose.

Here are my thoughts, I live in Miami so turbos and sls are absolutely everywhere. Exhaust note is very important and is one of the main reasons I am considering the gransport. I would consider the renntech software upgrade on an sl600 so thats why its in the running. For the turbo, there is great aftermarket support and it could be a real monster after a few upgrades. I would appreciate peoples opinions, particularly from those who have owned or driven all these cars. You guys have a great forum here! Sorry if this has been posted I could not get the search function to work...

Are you kidding me, the "in" thing for M3 guys is to move up to a TT!!!!!!!
Get with the program.

In all seriousness, the TT is the best choice hands down.

There is a reason for that. Have you driven one? If not, go drive one tomorrow.

Yes, I have driven my friends x50 and was amazed with its cornering and acceleration, but have not driven the gransport or a renntech sl600. I obviously will when I have the time, but I am really debating btw the gransport bc of its interior and exhaust note vs the overall great package the turbo offers. Also, I realize this is a porsche forum, but I know that some people have all the cars I am looking at or may have chosen a turbo over the others for a particular reason...

The Grandsport is Sluggish and do not waste your money on it the SL600 is way faster than it

An SL600 with an Ecu upgrade, Exhaust and Airintake gets you up to 625+hp and delimited 180+mph, And also the Porsche Turbo is one of a car with a Stage 2

Yea the SL600/65 cars are mean SOB's.. Personally even if an SL65 was in the equation, i would still take my stg 2+ car over it, the handling/acceleration and grip is just insane and can never get boring

The Sl regardless of how much HP it has reminds me of an older gentlemans car. Nothing I would like to roll untill I am least 60.

You dont get much better than the accelerations, speed, quality, and exhaust not of a Porsche. GO WITH THE TURBO ALL THE WAY. You will never regret that decision. I am sorry to say this but a maserati is a wannabe ferrari and mercedes are just junk and frankly are horrible quality as far as i have seen. u dont get much better than a Porsche so go with that.
