Hey Mark, with the parts you requested and I sent to you yesterday, it is obvious your ride isn't going to be of the canned variety.

I was glad to have helped. Killer Angel's intake and exhaust cams will be in our possession next week. These cams should add an additional 140 hp to our setup. To my knowledge these cams are a first for the 996tt motor. We have reprofiled both the intake and exhaust all the while eliminating harmonic distortion. Soon they will be available to anyone with an interest.

 

Another day, another leap for 996tt's! I am excited to see the finall KA sometimes this summer...Do you foresee any other developmental issues?? Also, my turbo is Northern Cali and I will be back there on Tuesday....if it is dry, do you want to go for a flight??

 

Its 9:30 am in CALi and u guys are already up? I worked til 4 am and couldnt sleep.. missed the qualifying of F1.. and Im going tomiss the race today.. sucks.

I had an idea, but no, I really didn't know what you were doing. In viewing the board my first guess was another bolt on kit. I tend to just glance over the talk and ignore most of it. Alex has been after me for a set of GT3 cams for a couple of weeks now. Then Todd called Rob about GT3 cams. Then you PM'ed me. I didn't really know the requested parts were for your car until your PM arrived and then I had a hunch. I first wanted to be sure Alex, Todd and yourself were making a request for the same car as I already had promised the cams to Alex. I wasn't ignoring Alex. The delay was related to the fact I had five different sets of cams being profiled (turbo, GT3, GT3 Cup, GTR and GT1) to come up with what I really wanted for KA and the work wasn't completed until earlier this week. You know how slow we are.

You know it is really funny. Alex told me that it was KA that inspired his car and now his is inspiring yours. The fact you are experimenting with GT3 cams says alot as I am well aware of what other "incidentals" are required. These high reving cams require big breathing heads along with a whole slew of other parts. Like I said "not a bolt on."

When I first went down this road I didn't believe there would be a handfull that would follow. With your's I know of ten now.

When you can, please let us know what you are doing. As always I am only too happy to help where I can. Good Luck with your project. Don't be afraid to raise the bar.

 

Chad, once its all figured out... ill let the cat out of the bag.. lets just say Todd has some neat things that showed up from Germany... thanks to you and Rob @scargo for heads up on some stuff.

I can't wait to hear about it. Alex knows alot about what we are doing with the cams. Wait until they show up in Germany.

As for all of us getting together sometime in the future........... I'd like that.
