Why Are Threads Moved?
Why Are Threads Moved?
Why have so many recent threads in the last few days been "moved"?? And were are they moved to? Some I thought were very interesting to this board. I know there is a board on say wheel and tire stuff, but if it is about this car and this cars owners and what they have done I would rather see it all here. If I have a problem or a question pertaining to this car I read about it here not a specialty board. So if detailing questions, engine rebuild or wheel and tire questions pertain to a 996TT would rather see them here?!

Just kidding, I agree
Most of them were moved to some general section called "tuning". I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't want to have to wade through "how can I squeeze 5 more hp from my Boxster" or "How good is the PSE" on NA cars to get to the real meat of the site.
Lets all take a hit on the communal boost bong and bring our complaint to the mountain top.

I moved them because they dealt with Tuning and Modifications. Incidently, these are not the only ones ever moved. The 996Turbo/GT2 section is a dumpung ground for everything from other cars, for sale, tuning, off topic etc. Probably because it has the most attention.
We have a choice of moving "with a redirect" or simply "moving with no redirect." The majority have a redirect so members are directly referred to the redirected section.
So far we have three good comments. Let's see how much interest this thread gets along weather or not people want to see everything cluttered in the 996tt/GT2 forum.

This is just my thoughts, those threads were pretty direct at the 996TT, why not keep them in it's dedicated forum? I could understand moving if they were general tuning/mod questions not model specific
What threads get to stay? What's the point of having the 996TT section is the majority can get moved into the "general sub sections" Just some food for thought.

I must agree with Tom...in philly we fight over such things! I don't think any of those threads were particularly out of place on the TT forum (one of them was mine BTW). I enjoy reading those things here. This is why I frequent 6speed for TT and Rennlist for 996. Just MHO.
I agree that any threads relating to 996TTs, whether tuning, racing, appearance or otherwise, should be in this forum. Like others, I only read the Tuning forum for Chad's updates on his car.

Everything does have it's own sub catagory. That is my point. The ones that voiced their opinions disagree with me.
My opinion is just one vote and obviously more members want a "general" section.

I still disagree, however I will move them back.
