996tt intercoolers

Does anyone knows where i can find bolt-on location upgrade intercoolers; not the marginally better GT2 coolers, but bigger aftermarket ones? Who makes them and approx. how much are they? Thanks.

What kind of benefit, in terms of performance, do you get by running bigger intercoolers? Cooler air than the stock ones?

i don't have aftermarket ICs but think how much better your car runs in the cold fall air than during the middle of summer.

Thanks Ben. With the extended period of time bringing these to market I'm wondering if they are having some probems with them or perhaps getting the programming correct to handle the significant increase in airflow they are rumoured to flow.

I believe evoms is using the same company for cores as I am on mine... except they will go with 3.5" thick instead of 4.5"...
anything is better then stock...

3.5" would be AWSOME - isn't that what Alex is using on his machine?

What is the actual size? Are the end tanks the same as factory?

I dont know off hand the sizes( I think 8.8x12x4.5).... but it took me 2 tries b4 i ordered the correct size(and alot of help form Todd knighton).... as far as the end tanks... they were custom made and all the brackets and stuff....
but Im not using the plastic cone that goes on top of the IC... so I can afford togo with a thicker IC.... u can easly use a 3.5" think and retain everything....
Labor is very expensive and u have to have the car apart to do this...u cant just ball part the endtanks... first u have to make templates and then do the welding...
