Stage 1?

I'm seriously thinking of pulling the trigger on the Evo X-mas sale and I'm wondering if anyone can give me an un-biased review of Stage 1.

How is throttle response off idle and how does it pull at WOT compared to stock. What about general drivability?

TIA.

Ditto Jamie's thoughts!

I was thinking Stage 1, Fabspeed and PSS9s, although I'm sure my wife has different ideas!

I got an Imagine/EVO stage 1. The car drives identically well around town and idles smoothly. You cant even tell the car is not stock until you get into the boost. The boost comes on faster and goes higher (0.9-1.0 bar vs 0.7 bar). The car accelerates noticibly quicker. I gained 5mph in my terminal quarter speed. Its like a stock x50 for one fifth to one sixth of the cost.

DO IT!!!

<grin>

I just pulled the trigger on a stage 4 and while I've never driven a stage 1, I can tell you that Todd and his team are a class act.

Given Todd's upgrade policy and his commitment to his customers, I honestly believe you can't go wrong.

Evolution Motorsports is a class act all the way around...

Dude: Stage 1 with a performance exhaust (and K&N air filter) is a stage 2.

LOL - Zippy beat me to it...If you are getting an exhayust (ESK - glad you liked mine and good choice - get the cones with it from day one!! ) then you need stage 2.
Also, you should definitely get the billet dump valves as the stock ones WILL inevitavly fail especially running a slightsly higher boost.

Guys,

I realize Stage 1 + a Fabspeed = Stage 2.

Mansour - Stage 1 comes with new DVs.

This is my "wish" list - I'm not necessarily going to do it at the same time.

I have the stage 1 with diverters and k&N. It is a world of difference from stock. The drivability and smoothness of power is much better and off the line thre is very little bog. Highly reccomend it.

Todd may be out of the office. He has always answered my questions promptly. You can call the number at evoms.com and talk to someone who will know where he is.
