996TT flash by AWE!

I took a customers car to AWE today for a flash. To make it short, AMAZING performance from the simple flash, AMAZING people to deal with, and AMAZING facility. If you're in their neck of the woods, I highly recomend to go take a look at their place. Thanks again boys!!!!!!!

Todd (Owner) and Mike (Right hand man) are the best. They are nice guys, knowledgable, straight forward and have a kick *** facility! A memorable experience for me with them was with my Moton suspension system. Todd was very involved with the specification of the spring rates and the ultimate coordination of all of the components.
They have an on-site dynomomenter (which I have used countless times), a complete metal fabrication/machine shop in the back, great people and a fantastic and efficient R&D department.
I would recommend them in a heartbeat!!

Guys-
Are there any additional Mods on these cars or just the flash? With the flash alone, what are realistic HP and or drivability gains? What's the diff between the AWE and the GIAC? Any input on ballpark cost?
TIA for the info

Bigger Ape... you'd need to do an exhaust for starters. That'd reduce lag, improve flow and give a good bit more HP...

Congrats on the flash!!
flash only should give you about 50-65 usable real horsepower!!
415 + 60 == 475 (no exhaust--which you also need!!)
this should feel good in the seat of the pants!

I hope you guys dont think it's my car. LOL. It was a customers. I just finished detailing it and am going to deliver it tomorrow.

I could buy one but dont want to kill my capital. I sold my turbo SC and E46 M3 has been sold for a while now.

BiggerApe, Woodster is right about the HP numbers. It's definetly a huge acceleration difference. Stock, when you floor it through the gears it doesn't quite ripp your head back into the seat. After leaving AWE, we started beating on it and I instantly noticed my head getting sucked into the back of the seat. 150mph is a peice of cake!

AWE uses Giac tuning. We also got the Giac stock flash on a little programer they gave us. We can flash the ECU back to stock to take it in for warranty work if needed.

Next in line for the particular 996 is the AWE exhaust system, BOV's and possibly some type of intake system, if it needs it. In my shop we build mainly Jap cars, Supra, EVO, etc. The German cars react very well to these simple electronic mods, like Jap cars react well to mechanical mods.

So, as one would understand it, a customer gave you their car for detailing and a flash.
This same car was then beat on after the flash???
This same car was then driven up to 150 mph???

Maybe it is me, but if I found out that my tuner/shop started beating on my $100K+ car and drove it at 150 mph, I would terminate my business with you immediately.

I am not some old fart (incidentally, I have been on this forum since its inception.....and I grew up in Wayne). I would definitely recommend exercising some restraint since the business this customer is giving you is also being given with an unspoken degree of trust that his car is in good hands and will be treated properly and with respect.
