Radar which is the best

And why is it the best? I was looking at getting the K40 system put in to my car but I do not think that I am that crazy of a driver. Had my car for 8 months and knock on wood have never been pulled over. Need to say those signs with numbers on em next to the road, I never look at them. But I am planning on doing some traveling and would like the extra protection. So witch onw is the best and who has the best price??

Why... whichever one the respondent happens to own of course...

Put in the Valentine 1 and never look back. Once you see how absolutely functional the directional indicators are... you'll never wish you had any other system installed.

After six months or so with mine... I am looking at a guaranteed savings of 4 tickets which I WOULD have been pegged with had I not had the Valentine 1.

Plus... we have the added benefit of having Mike, the CEO/President of Valentine on this board... you run into issues and I'll BET he makes it right.

Go with the Valentine 1.

Very nice! Is it yours?

Also... I wouldn't recommend mounting your V1 so low on the dash but rather, it is more effective the higher up you mount it.

Joe, Yes and it is a 1952 *****'s High Hood CJ2A. 6" lift with 33" tires, Buick V6 with headers, 3spd with overdrive. Also Killer sound system. Great for the summer

As for the location of the V-1 you are correct. I could not stand the look of the unit mounted above so thats where it went. No problems yet. Works great so far and it has been there in each car I own.

Did you notice the plate on the TT???

This does not help matters

I concur with the others. V1 is the way to go. The first time it saves you, it pays for itself.

I place my V1 as low as I can in the center of the windshield. It still has a good view to the back, is closer to the aiming points of laser, doesn't have far to fall if the suction cups let loose, and the few inches difference in elevation from this location to the highest point on the windshield has virturally no impact on the detection range of radar (given radars beam width, along with other physics).

The V1 won't help you much in a one-on-one engagement versus instant on radar, so what you're counting on is the officer illuminating the car(s) ahead of you so you can receive the signal outside the "lock on" range. As long as the V1 alarms far enough outside the radars "lock on" range, it has done it's job and allowed the driver to slow down.

The V1 has great detection range capabilities, and if you've never driven with it in the seat beside you, you haven't seen how intense the signal environment is inside the car. It works real well even on the seat.

Another vote for the V1... Once I had it on the floor and it still picked up radar ahead!!! That's pretty super!

I didn't know Mike was on this board!!! Kudos for a great product!!!

V1 rocks but is not cheap at $399 and you can only get it at http://www.valentine1.com. Good luck! It will definitely save your butt and give you the most high-speed driving confidence you could ever have.
