2WD 996 Turbo - True or Fiction ?
I can't imagine a slide at 100mph with a open diferential...
Is there any LSD besides the OEM GT2? Do you know the price of an aftermarket or GT2 LSD? Will the GT2 LSD accept the TT tranny and shafts?

I'm tired of to many mysteries around the 2wd conversion. It make me think that some elites don't want to share the process, just to be unique or to avoid loosing big money. From little info from several threads it seems to me that what you will need to do is:
1. remove front shafts,
2. remove front diff,
3. remove central tranny,
4. put a cover in the rear diff in the central tranny hole (adjust the diff oil level),
5. put front wheel sensors from a rwd 996.
It may need more steps, specially to keep PSM working, but this is all i know.
My only concern is running with a open diff. Will it be as safe as a GT2 or even a 996/997 C2?

There are no mysteries, pull the shaft, change the nose cover. Pull the diff and put DME stub axels in where the shafts were so the ABS can still read or change the sensors to the C2.
Your diff will be fine. I am not sure why you are concerned with that. It will not make any difference. .

My front differential might be going out
Any of you guys that made the RWD conversion have your front OEM differential laying around that you wouldn't mind selling? Or is this a sign for me to do a RWD conversion?
