Exhaust

I can tell you that I had a EP-2 loud and loved it on my GT700 Turbo. The build quality and sound was fantastic if slightly heavy. However, I tried a FS Supersport loud and dyno'd back to back and showed significant improvement with the Fabspeed unit. It was significantly lighter as well, but also louder. Sold the EP and kept the FS. I still consider EP a very good product.

MARKSKI, can I ask you what may be a dumb question? Why did you cross the pipes in the back rather than go straight out the back from the cats?

The sound must be ridiculous!

Thx

Ah ha, makes sense. Good idea. Mind if I give Todd a call and rip off your idea? Maybe you'll get a commission on it?

Thx again

Stephen at Imagine Auto did a very thorough evaluation with the available exhausts at the time.

I have the entire test in Powerpoint presentation format, but this forum will not accept that format.

I can e-mail it to you if you would like D.

Thanks for the offer, I have it saved down here as well. Very informative. Fabspeed Sport Track seems to be the clear winner there, but I'm buying into the MARKSKI crossed-pipes-produces-less-noise theory...

The only thing is, isn't that test quite old? I know a few of the exhaust have changed their construction or are different now!

It was done in August 2003 and included 7 exhausts plus the factory exhaust.
I don't know if any of the manufacturers have changed construction techniques since then.

We can put any exhaust on KA (we have installed four others) .......... we choose to stay with Europipe.

The power all the good exhausts make simply split hairs. The power just isn't going to be the deciding factor. We choose Europipe because it is not a weak link in KA's motor (in otherwords it isn't restricting the motors power) and it has by far the best tone/sound (In my opinion). Too many people, both young and old have stop besides KA to compliment the sound.

Europipe def. has the quality and reputation, and sounds much MUCH better in person than in videos! I personally think 9ff sounds the absolute best, and check out this RUF Exhaust, ive never heard such a thing on a turbo

The thing that amazes me most about Europipes is the sound gets better and better with time...like a good wine!
