Not too sure...one thing of relevance though is that when I bought my 03TT new, I had to sign a form for Porsche North America saying that I can not take this car out of the US (could be NA?) for the first 12 months of ownership or I would be subject to a $10,000 fine for violating that condition...Same was true when the Mercedes CL first came out here.

wow really? I did not know that, i guess they predicted the exchange rate variations perhaps?
But at the end of the day i would be looking for a 01 car or early 02 model

The euro is too strong to make any viable savings, the pund is strong against the USD. And US cars in my opinion are generally better looked after-

What would be the cost of shipping a car to england? Anyone know?

Just from reading past post I do not think msindi is a US citizen, that might be why PNA made him sign the agreement?

It costs around 3k us$ to ship a car (by boat) across the atlantic. You actually pay to ship a container, so if you find someone else wanting to ship a car ... it'll cost half. That's how we did it anyways (not a porsche, and from europe to canada).
Seeing you're in england, it might be not that complicated to make it legal (compared to other european countries ... )
