Lightbulb ISAAC (HANS) Group Buy

I am putting together a group buy for the ISAAC HANS system. Here is the link.

http://www.isaacdirect.com/

This system is similar to the HANS but I think superior. It significantly reduces the loads involved in an accident while allowing full flexibility of visibility in the pits. There have been significant discussions on the rennlist 996tt forum.

Please tell me if you are interested. The list price is $895 for the quick release pin system I recommend (intermediate). Please read this and strongly consider this if you are doing autocross or DE driving on up!

I will take no profit on this and have no affiliation with ISAAC so please contact me if interested.

what would the group buy price be

I am debating between this and the hans. Does anyone know of pro's that are using this system. Also, where do you attach the shocks to. The seatbelt or the seat. the hans get's attached to a shoulder harness.

You attach the ISAAC to the harness.

Tim,
Is the $895 fixed? Or will it decrease with more buyers?

Ken, price will go down. I haven't asked how much yet as I want to get a gauge on quantity first. So far I have had serious interest from about 4 people.

I haven't seen this system used by any pros yet. But this is for no other reason than it is relatively new and unknown. Or atleast it was until this year. For SCCA Pro the rules in 2002 strongly suggested the use of a HANS or Hutchins device, then in 2003 they mandated the use of a "Head and Neck restraint device"...most people had already bought a HANS or hutchins the previous year, so this is what you see the most. 2004 is the first year the rulebook has listed alternative devices as being "approved for use" amoung which the Issac device is listed and therfore I'm sure it will start being used by drivers who didn't already buy a HANS in previous seasons or are new to the series, etc...

I just wanted to clear some of that up so that people who are considering it don't shy away simply because it hasn't been seen being used a lot in the past at a pro level.

I agree Dave, well said.

Last request, please guys, read the other posts I reference and think seriously about a HANS type system.
