MAN THATS CHEAP!!!! If you know where to buy one that cheap let me know, as my dads dealership would buy a few. We currently have an 02 GT2 for sale, and it just ended on ebay at $136,600, and this car has almost 6K miles!!!!! So a car with 300 miles, is worth more like 160(155 would be a great deal)!! This is just my opinion from my experience with ours, and I could be wrong....

Wow thats odd, cars are usually worth more out on the west coast, I don't know man, I am just looking at the fact that our car with 5.5K miles brought 137K on ebay.....

Evan- As you and your dad most likely know, Ebay is a strange place. You get the right people bidding on the exact car they want, you'll get crazy numbers at times.
We had a VW Harlequin a few years back at one of our stores that we put on ebay.(For those folks that never saw one, you didn't miss much. It was a Golf car that came from the factory with every body panel painted a different color!). The car was probably worth somewhere in the $5 to $6K range and we ended up getting over $9K just because there were a few (crazy) people looking for the exact car.

Yes I completly agree, but you can usually judge what a car will bring by what it brings on ebay. We use ebay mostly as an advertising tool, but once in awhile like you said we get a person who just buys.

I've seen a few VW "Polo" Harlequin's... your first impresion is to ask yourself, is the circus in town? must be the clown's not very popular cars after a while anymore, but I guess its only on this side of the pond

-> $9k?

I wouldn't touch that car unless you can "steal" it for 125-130ish tops. That way, you know you can easily turn it around for quick $ instead of getting stuck or making nothing. Porsche probably never should have built GT-2's b/c they are too expensive for what you get/don't get with X-50 Turbo's and GT-3's out there.

Ditto to Jim's comments. IMHO, unless one wants a world class track experience and is a avid track user I would not endorse the GT2 at circa $150k price point. For me, if the choice is a GT2 at $180k or a Ruf R Turbo for comparable price, my vote is clearly for the latter considering the everyday drivability and 100+ HP & TQ advantage over the GT2.

Of course, I appreciate that we all have preferences and for some the GT2 is great value at market price which I respect.

You guys see a pattern here..??? No question it's an awsome car, but for one reason or another, I see alot of GT2 owners selling there cars shortly after purchasing them.
