Burrel Wood Interior Trim.

Anyone else have this ?

The previous owner of my car ordered it with basic Burrel Wood trim from the factory. My cousin has seen a 996 with the full trim and says its absolutley gorgeos and insists that I get it. Anyone have the full trim and can post pics or know the best place to purchase it from ? Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Here is how my interior looks now with the basic trim on the Steering wheel, Shifter, and hand brake. The Wood peices (three peices in total) are all centered around the middle of the car.

I want to add more of the Trim perhaps to the A/C, Dash, Speedometer/Dials and finaly to the door handles to make the theme more universal all around and make the interior look more complete....

Here's a link to an eBay auction that has pics of beige interior with "full wood package". I have no affiliation with the auction.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2001-...QQcmdZViewItem

The prices I've seen for these wood pieces seem to be very expensive.

I have the full dark burrel wood trim. I agree with your friend. It wasn't very popular, most guys were into the carbon. Those interiors are a dime a dozen. Everyone has carbon. The wood packages are very rare, especially the full wood packages.

Not a fan of wood like most ppl on this board. CF looks so much better. Wood just doesn't look good in a P car.

Yeah, I don't think CF belongs in the interior of any car. I feel like it cheapens the car especially a Porsche. Porsche has one of the finest interior options out there its a shame to go for CF. Thats just my thoughts

What does "Dark Burrel Wood" look like ?

Is it like mine ?

Also is this the same color trim as mine or different ? I can't tell because the lighting and interior colors in the cars are different...

i can't be 100% certain because of photos, but Ramone, yours looks like "light burl wood trim". The eBay link pic is of a beige interior. To me from your photos, your interior looks like "natural brown".

You can order the wood from any Porsche dealer from the "tequipment" catalog, but it's quite expensive. I think Suncoast Porsche's link (on the right of the screen) has some wood trim options listed, but I'm not sure of the price.

Wait so there's "Light", "Dark", and "Brown" burrel wood trim ? Wow....

Ok so is there a website or something where I can see all these trims listed so I can figure it out ?

I don't want to order $6,000 dollars worth of trim peices only to find out that they don't match my current trim

Ramone, There are two flavors of the wood trim: "light" and "dark". The natural brown" I was referring to is you leather interior color.

Here's a link to a picture of the "light" color (which I think you have): http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/me...ry_Code=996exc

Here's a link to the "dark" color: http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/me...ry_Code=996exc

Even in pictures, the "dark" looks considerably darker than "light". If you check the options sticker on the back side of the front hood (luggage compartment) your local dealer should be able to tell you exactly what options you have (including "light" versus "dark" wood trim).
