Front plate install (no visible holes)

Front plate install (no visible holes)
I decided to install my front plate, there are only two holes at the very bottom.
1) I backed the plate with several coats of duct tape.
2) Bent plate to fit the contour of the bumper.
3) Drilled two small holes at the inside bottom of the bumper.
4) Screwed in plate.
I drive at night and often bump into police road blocks, so having a front plate is a good idea, I can easily remove it with no visible damage to bumper with this method.

If I understand right, your plate isn't secured at the top in any way. Doesn't it still have the potential to move around, especially on rough road surfaces?
Thank Christ I don't have to dick around with front plate laws here in Indian-no-place.

Probably a good idea
I would recommend paying close attention to make sure that it is not flopping or moving in any way. The scratches from such a movement would cause much more damage than a couple of holes.

I am confused.
The car comes with a plate bracket that secures through two holes that are already IN your bumper. You drilled two additional holes and mangled the plate to bend over / around the bumper?
I am sorry, but I don't get it.

I'll chime in. It is the stock bumper that had the bumperette-removal surgery and the plate-hole fill in at the same time. Dr. Bill had no intention of using his front plate so they filled in the holes for a cleaner look.
