Installing wastegates - any tips?
I bought a set of wastegates from Sharky this past week and I'm about 5 minutes from getting the install started, any tips on the install or adjustment?

Ok, I got them installed, but when I removed the stock ones there was a certain amount of tension adjusted into the diaphram already. I measured the how much, and it looks like about 1/8". Does that sound right? It seemed like the RH side had more than the left, but I assume they should be equal.
Does anyone have a baseline measurement?

Check with EVO but I am almost positive the pressure should be 12 psi. When your gauge reads 12psi the flapper should just be starting to move. Make sure both sides are exactly the same.

Once it cools down a little I'm going to get under there and re-adjust them. It sure would be nice to know whether to use the "X turns" method, or the "X psi" method?

I saw 1.5bar breifly before I let off the gas, and I saw 1.3 a few times with only 3/4 throttle. Can't stay in it very long anyway because the FI shuts down because of the overboost.

A Does it apply pressure to the acuator to open it?
OR
B Measure the distance of the rod and adjust it accordingly?
Then you have your answer. I have shared what I know to be true. Your method clearly does not work.

The way the ECU controls the acuator is by applying pressure. Makes sense that is MUST be adjusted the same way.
