Silver Star Thread

Why was it closed? What a load of crap. Rave must have recieved hush money. There are still Porsche owners out here that would like to know exactly what was done. otherwise some of us will still refrain from using Silver Star.
pretty sad to lock a thread that was not finished, or next time keep it to yourself if your just going to leave us hanging.

What the hell else are we supposed to read now?????

Do you feel you would of added to it? The issue got resolved, the creator wished to close it. I don't see anything wrong w/ that.

Thread seemed pretty finished to me.

I am responsible for closing the thread. RaveTT stated he and Silver Star arrived at a satisfactory conclusion. Isn't that what it is all about? I congraduate both of them. There was a problem, however it was rectified to the satisfaction of both with in about twenty-four hours. I would not hesitate to do business with someone that resolves any problem that quickly.

Everyone who deals with SS say the techs are awesome, looking back on everything, I think it was mainly a clash of personalities and a bizarre circumstance of events/misunderstandings that led to all the drama, as I said before, the GM reached out and we came to a compromise, what more is there to add?

I love the power of the internet and more importantly buying power! If it was not for 6speedonline.com and the great group of enthusiasts that participate RaveTT would have been banned and the dealer would have not given a Rats *** that they lost that one unsatisfied customer. I hope other dealers and vendors take note that "WE" won't put up with anything but perfection and satisfaction. Especially when we pay outrageous prices for expert service.

again I am glad both parties came to a compromise.

Rave TT, well u know that your concern is our concern, and we got your back as a fellow consumer of porsche products. Good judgement Chad. Yes, that is what its all about. Cheers to Silver Star to resolving the matter! I will definately consider SS when shopping for another 911.

I think the whole episode reminds of us of a few things:
1) Many dealers still act like they "are doing us a favor" when it comes to buying/servicing some high-end cars.
2) Public opinion is a powerful tool and is sometimes the only leverage David has vs. Goliath.
3) The power of the internet/message-boards in bringing people together and getting a message out quickly.
4) You can't necessarily count on the manufacturer to back you up, which is ****-poor and a shame. PCNA should be ashamed if they refused to help. Without 6-speed, this would have been Raves only possible avenue for help.

Well said, and let us not forget the extent of drama this event entailed before a satisfactory conclusion was reached. If this was truly a 'good' experience the dealership would have stepped up to the plate well before they did.

You shouldn't need to start a 5500 view thread to force a business into taking corrective action on a valid claim/complaint!

No, The GM stood behind her 100%, as I said before, I think it was mainly a clash of personalities and a bizarre circumstance of events/misunderstandings that led to all the drama, no need to fire anyone over an isolated event (which my situation seems to be).
