Protomotive k24/18g question?

Has anyone here done the k24/18g 600hp kit and later upgraded to the 700hp kit?
If so, what was your impression of the upgrade? Was the power increase considerably noticeable? Do you have a Turbo or a GT2?
I am seriously considering upgrading to the 700hp kit but would like your impressions and opinions.

TIA Raudel

Fair question, and I am going to Protomotive Tomorrow for the hotter kit
right away!
A much bigger $ question becomes if you want to upgrade to Garratt GT30's.
Garratts require mods to your headers, exhuast system, addition of water cooling, programming (which you would need either way), etc. Call Todd
and discuss your questions to see what your actual goals are, ie, are you
a highway roller? do you like "viper like torque" down low and flat? do want
want super high peak horsepower? Do you drive frequently on a track with
alot of corners which catch you between first and second gear and you need
torque to pull out of corners or maybe a higher RPM for top speed runs...

So many possiblilities!!!!!!

Good luck

Marty K.

Damn Raudel... already thinking about the next step up? Thanks for the ride the other day! Your car is easily the fastest TT I've ridden in. SCARY FAST!!!!!!! I can't imagine needing anymore power than you already have. But then again, once my setup is done I will probably be thinking the same thing in a few months.

Alan,

Your welcome! I'm happy with the power I'm making now, but its nice to have a little more. Only thing is I'm gonna need traction control this time of year.
How's your project coming along?

I'm not sure I'd upgrade unless you plan on going big and building the motor in the future....or you have some money burning a hole in your pocket. I don't know all your supporting mods, but you probably won't be able to leverage the GT30 kit much beyond the hp you should be making now with k24/18g's on stock internals. The k24/18g turbos should support over 600 to the tire, and you'll probably want to stop around mid 600's regardless of the turbos on a stock motor. Personally, I'd maximize your current potential and call it a day

Jamie,

Aren't you running on stock internals, or did you build the bottom end?

Definitely scary! As it is it gets pretty hairy now. Especially with these NE temperatures. I'm gonna have to sharpen my skills driving sideways

Correct, my point is you should be able to do mid 600's to the tire on the K24 hybrids without much problem. Again, not sure if you have all the supporting mods, but if not, it shouldn't be too expensive to add them....

Good luck!
