Thanks for anyone who can answer
A qiuck and easy way to determine the sizes is to look next to the valve stems. Stamped into the wheel are the widths and offsets. Also, if you look on the backside of the wheels they should also be stamped. with sizing and or part numbers.
All 996tt come with 18" stock. Porsche did not put 19" wheels on cars until the 997's. 19's will work, but you may have to use spacers if using a factory 19" wheel. Aftermarket 19's also work and usually sized for the make of vehicle, so spacers should not be required.

Just a bit of info:
The Sport Techno's that Porsche installed on 996tt's all used spacers on the rear. The 63mm offset/ 11" wheel was really designed for narrow body cars. This was the only 996tt wheel that used a factory spacer. If you are having wheels made to match your existing wheels, make sure they use the dimensions from a non-Techno 996tt. This way you will not need to run spacers.
996TT Hollow spoke sizes are:
8x18/ 50 offset
11x18/ 45 offset
GT2 sizing will also work, but you may have to roll the fenders and increase your tire sizing to 235's and 315's :
8.5x15/ 40mm offset
12x18/ 45mm offset

[quote=ramone]I'm ordering rims from iforged but want to fit the same tires that I currently have on my stock porsche sporttechno's. Does anyone know what the offsets are on these so I can order the apropriate wheels ??? Thanks.

? Also what do most people who mod their TT's for the street ride on: 18's or 19's ? Whats best for both looks and performance ?
Do 19's look noticabley much better and is the performance decrease that noticable ?
What I mean is is there a trade off ??? and most importantly is the trade off actually noticable ?
Sorry for all the questions, i'm just pretty clueless about this stuff and just getting wet behind the ears so to speak
Thanks again

? - No, 18's require 18" wheels, and 19's require 19"wheels.
Also what do most people who mod their TT's for the street ride on: 18's or 19's ? Whats best for both looks and performance? 996TT's are AWD vehicles, so the rear tire sizing must have a overall circumference within a certain percentage of the front tires. So your limited to the sizing available in 19's to 235/35/19 and 315/25/19. Currently 18's are the way to go for performance.
Do 19's look noticabley much better and is the performance decrease that noticable ? For boulevard crusing, 19's look better IMO. I don't think you will feel a difference with moderate performance driving. Also, 19's were not designed for the 996's suspension geometry so you may consider an alignment shop familiar with 19's on a 996TT.
What I mean is is there a trade off ??? and most importantly is the trade off actually noticable ? 19's will have a stiffer ride due to less sidewall compression. Also unless you opt for a light 19" wheel, the total weight per corner could actually be more than 18's. This increase in unsprung weight will impact performance at moderate to high speeds.
