They are a maintenance item. They would be hard pressed to say they caused any kind of failure.

but, realistically could they get away with it ? Should I be concerned. My dealer said that if I put an anftermarket exhaust and it affects the engine then my warranty is over.

I mean usually a dealership will let you get away with anything as long as it doesn't touch the engine. Thats why I ask.

Yes, they will visually notice them if they open the engine compartment(or at least they SHOULD)

You have a crappy dealer because an aftermarket exhaust is not going to hurt the engine.

For the inflated cost of the dealerships hourly service rate, I still felt it was important to just let them install the new diverter valves. It was a 2 hour job by them that cost me about $150. So, to save a few bucks and let an independant shop do the job or DIY, it just wasn't worth the possible future hassle if it became a warranty issue.

And, yes, once they look into the engine bay, they will notice them almost immediately.

DV's alone will not provide any performance benefit nor do I think you will feel a difference unless your current valves are bad.

These stock valves are VERY prone to failure. The aftermarket valves are simple replacements that are far more durable.

We carry the Bailey Motorsport units. Lifetime warranty and direct fit.

Hope this helps.

Check out this link for more info.

Here is what happens to the stock valves when they fail. You have to crack on open to see what happens.

Here are the Bailey units. They used a hard plastic piston that will not tear or rip.

ramone it's funny because some dealer replace them under warranty here and then I hear of some saying some nonsense about voiding the warranty. If you get them in black they are less noticeable but yes you can see them if you look...
