I was thinking about supercharging my 4S wtth evoms kit, just curious, anybody know how a 4S supercharged will run against a stock 996TT?

Is the kit worth the 10K+install or should I just trade in my 4S and get a TT?

i think evoms site says 0-60 in 4.2? sounds pretty fast?

 

get a tt. The SC 996 will hang with a stock 996tt but not with decent mods on the tt.

 

A stock TT is faster than an SC'd 996 AWD above 60mph. If you love your 4S and it's paid for maybe, otherwise get a TT or GT3.

 

The SC cars are cool but difficucult to resell.

Go with a TT that has the better engine, suspension, looks and will outrun
the SC with a simple tune.

Given how cheap TT's are at the moment, I'd opt for changing car.

 

4S is nice, but change to a TT rather than SC.

 

Trade in your car for a TT and use the 10K as mod money. I think you will be disapointed with the SC set up if you are going to compare it to a TT. Most of the guys here and probably most of the people you will meet will have modded TT's so your car will rarely get a shot at a stock one.
If you want to SC for the sake of just going faster do it (more so if you love you current car). If you want to SC so you can hang with a TT then my opinion would be to sell it and look for a good used 996TT.

 

To answer your question, "how a 4S supercharged will run against a stock 996TT", the 4S would beat it.

should do the trick.

I'm with him. The 3.6SC kit is supposed to put out 480BHP, in a car that's basically the same as a TT. Yes, the TT has a higher percentage of peak output over the rev range, but in a drag race, once you're out of 1st gear, you're never below 4k rpm, and the SC has a higher peak horsepower.

It wouldn't win by much, but win it should.
