Stock TT dyno numbers?

Does anyone have dyno numbers from a stock TT (K16)? If so please post the number or graphs and list what brand of dyno was used. My guess is around 370whp on a Dynojet.

Should be lower than that with the 20% driveline loss, shouldn't it?

With stock HP around 420 and the 20% AWD loss, it should be in the neighborhood of 340 I would guess.

This is a quote from EVOMS and would be a best case scenario.

The Baseline 996TT: The baseline 996TT dyno test that we use for all of our comparison charts is a very optimistic 996TT. Typically the stock 996TT numbers are in the 370-380 Wheel power range while the stock GT2 & X50 cars are in the 415-420 range. We chose to use one of the highest 996TT dynos as our baseline to be very conservative with our comparisons.

the word "optimistic" is an understatment with that one considering an x50 is rated at arond 450 hp stock, claiming that they're making around 420 to the wheels sounds like a bit of a stretch.

although from a tuner point of view, it's better to underpromise and overdeliver so i can see why they would want to use a higher hp car and report smaller gains after the mods. nobody can complain when they get better numbers....

Included is the stock dyno sheet for my 996TT on Dyno Dynamics (also after tweaks).

243 rwkw = 325 rwhp.

Dyno Dynamics reads about 15-20% lower than DynoJet so that's your 370 rwhp on DynoJet right there.

so are you guys saying the 996TT is way under rated from the factory at 420 crank HP?

at the accepted AWD 20% driveline loss, that would put the crank HP of a K16 car at 460.

My graph and dyno used is on my work comp, so I can post it tomorrow. The dyno was in a shop in San Diego.
I dynoed mine when it was bone stock, old plugs, the works. It made 315 awhp and 373 awtq.

Damn, I had no idea the numbers were that low. This brings back memories of Dyno runs in my bonestock 99C5 Vette! Rolled it onto the dyno with a Catback and Volant CAI and snagged a lowly 296HP/301#ft. torque.

It wasn't until I installed headers and a Z06 intake that I actually made a decent amount of power... 335HP 342#ft. torque.

Then I blew the motor at VIR and swapped in a new forged shortblock with ported heads (mistake) and a thunderracing 224/224 cam... I swapped exhausts around and got 386HP/ 382#ft of torque.

I guess there is something to the UMW GT1 turbos, GT2 Intercoolers, Bailey Diverter valves and Custom tuning! All I can say is 510 HP is AMAZING to "feel"...

I agree with that. However, 600 Crank HP in my daily driver is AMAZING!!!

The loss from the crank to the wheels on a manual is 16%.
The automatic looses more.

i thought it was 12-15% for a rear wheel drive 996?

16% would be pretty good for all wheel drive wouldn't it?
