He mentions no sales tax many times in his posting.

What is he talking about?

What am I missing here. Isn;t the sales tax due upon registering the car?

 

I think he means luxury tax on first buy doesn't he (i.e. what was paid when he bought it new)?

I assume he means no sales tax paid to him, but clearly there will be sales or use tax when registering the car.

Very nice car and since I waiting for an April build, I am tempted. But, how do you ever know what the history or actual condition of the car is? Also, what mods and who installed them?

Call them to find out who installed it, and you can run a Car Fax to see if it has a clean history.

Ask Todd at Evolution Motorsports about the car, the owner, etc. You can't beat mods done by the actual vendors of the mods. They are based in AZ. And then do the car fax, etc.

 

I know this car very well. We did do the upgrades about 6 months ago. The car is super clean and to my knowledge, has never been in an accident. This customer called me a few days ago and mentioned to my staff that he would be selling it. I do not know why, however if anyone is interested, let me know and I will get more details.

Regarding the tax, in AZ, if you buy a car from a private party, you will not have to pay the 7.7% sales tax on the car. There will still be registration fees, but no sales tax like if you were buying from a dealer. In this case it would save about $10K.
