Two wheels, need to make a desicion tommorrow, which wheels, need opinions pics inside

Ok after much thought and consideration for Chicago roads, I am down to two choices. Techart Formula and Cargraphic Racing (TUV approved and they run 21" wheels with same flat lip on a Cayenne, so very strong from what I understand) I am going for agressive, best looking wheel of the two for a black turbo. Sizes are 8.5x19 fronts and 11x19 rears. No lip on Techart and 1.5" front and 3.5" rear on Cragraphic (they also make 9x19 fronts with 2" lip and 11.5x19 rears with 4" lip, also an option, but, so far I am looking at the first sizes mentioned)

Please do not hold punches and tell me what you guys think.......

Techart Formula 19----------------------------

Cargraphic Racing 19--------------------------

--------SIDE BY SIDE COMPARISON (thanks sentipede!!)--------------

Personally I don't like either. The Techarts are nice but look too similar to stock, and the the 2nd ones ... well .... you might as well get BBSs even though that look just isn't my style. The real question is why the hell are you getting 19s? And you're in Chicago? Double whammy. Get 18s. 19s are for poseurs. If you want my opinion, HRE 547Rs are nice. In black of course ...

Obviously this is just my opinion, but those black HRE 547Rs on a black car are 100 times more "aggressive" looking than either of the wheels you posted ...

I do not like black cars with black wheels. The 19's are a risk, but, I do not have much fear of either of these wheels being "delicate" (see post for details) I want the 19's because I like the look better. Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it.

By all means, if looks are what you're after, get the 19s.

I have the same dillema, different choices. Been waiting for the HRE competition looks like another couple months. I currently have the RUF 19 going for 18 now.
HRE 843R, Fikse profil 13, or HRE competition C21.
Not a fan of oversize lips.

Must be an important decision... 'cause it's 4:30AM!

Anyway, while you know I've other opinions, given only these two choices for you, Lou, I'd have to lean towards the TA.

Here's my reasoning... the Cargraphic says that the driver is more of a "would you like some grey poupon" dude... and the TA is more of a "punch you in the face with my hulk fist" style... and I think we both know which of the two you lean towards!

Seriously, the Cargraphic is that dull flat silver seems plain to me... if it were black, that'd be more desirable. As for the Techarts, they simply look aggresive... especially when starting to roll... as if giant feet stomping forward. You may also consider the TA with SIDE of the spoke (not entire spoke) painted black. That's a hot setup too.

At any rate... my vote is for the TA Formula 19" Make sure you keep your stock wheels, 'cause we'll be hit'n Gingerman big time this year... I'll get you hooked on road racing like Whitney to crack.

Techart's!!! They are both nice. The techarts will be much easier to clean due to the simplicity of the center design. The caragraphics certainly have more detail...Both would look nice on the car. Have you compared the weights between the two???

Lou,

Get the Cargraphics. I had them on my '03 Cab and they are beautiful wheels. The lips are slightly brushed like the Champion wheels (easy to take care of) and have a nice hard edge unlike the HRE's which are rounded. Have you seen RDH's red TT with them?

cargraphics are my choice. Although I love the techarts, I think they look similar to stock. Depends on the look you want. Subtle change or not

Got to go with the Cargraphics! Here is a shot of RDH's car from the Orlando meet.

Techart. Definitely. I don't like rims with big lips, and I don't like the spoke-like rims on Porsches either. RUF rims look very good too, and a bit like the Techarts.
Anyways ... Techart, Techart and Techart for me!!

They are both great choices and you wouldn't go wrong w/ either choice. Since looks is important to you stay with 19's. Then, really ask yourself, do you want lips or no lips. That is the selling point for me.
Ron

Lou,

I have been running the Ruf 19's for some time and I have had no issues. I would go with the Cargraphic.

Techarts. They are just classy, and they certainly easier to clean...and I still prefer black.
