GT2 for $100k

All Automatic Car Washes Use Very Harsh Chemicals. Although They Never Admit It. The Reason I Know This Is ,i Own A Hand Car Wash Detail Center In Houston. Even If It Is High Enough To Fit In A Automatic, You Would Be A Fool To Do It.
Jamie,
You must secretly be in love with me since obviously I am renting space in your head. I am flattered that you are so obviously attracted to me, even though I have gained 10 lbs since getting married. I once had a girlfriend named Jamie, so maybe that is it.
Car was spun out and there was only cosmetic damage. This fact was verified by Rob King (S-Car-Go) and Sam Shalala. Frank, the previous owner of the car, a very good friend of mine (who is also the Senior Vice President of Merril Lynch....he makes in a month what the car costs so he hardly needs to scam me) showed my pics of the damage.
Car has been tracked and raced and has never had one issue.
Paulie: Will Sparky be ready for his walk this weekend?

Sean, when I want a quick break and something to laugh at, I"ll read one of your posts.
Documented accidents on a car like this can remove $20-$30k in value instantly, regardless of how serious. Even re-spraying a bumper can kill a purchase. Oh, and it's always "just cosmetic" damage

The GT2 for $100k had its bumper re-sprayed, allegedly because of so many rock chips, etc. I know the car's been tracked, and there's evidence of a roll cage that was removed. Reason not to buy it? Frankly, I'm more worried about the 30k miles.
For your first Porsche, you may want to reconsider the AWD TT over a GT2. A GT2 is a fantistic car for driver with lots of seat time im RWD Porsches. First time Porsche drivers will actually be slower in a GT2 than a AWD TT and the GT2 does not suffer fools lightly. Look at AWD TT, they are more plentiful, less expensive and have more forgiving handling.
If it's the GT2 look you're going for these can always be modded on later.

A roll cage? Think about that...I would only install a roll cage if I planned on LOTS of track time. GT2's were made for the track, but tracking is very hard on a car.
I agree that a good TT might be a better choice, especially for a DD. I have put 3K on my GT2 and I am just now getting really good at driving it.

What i learned from this past Sunday's Exotic Run, up in the Bear Mountain twisties is that you can do the SAME driving that we say is "so hard on our cars" on the street, yet on the track its totally looked upon differently, just something to think about that i just realized.. Myself and 40 other Exotics all tore it up, and it was damn fun
Martin,
On the track I eventually am competing with some of the best drivers in fast cars so I push my car way harder in the corners. I am also driving the lines and braking all out/ downshifting hard etc. I have only tracked once. By my second run I was lapping all the other novices.
When I ran w/ the experts I started getting passed and my ego got involved I know it shouldn't have...but I was determined to catch the GIRL in a CORVETTE. (It turned out that she had the 2nd fastest lap time of the day...and there were some pros there).
So tracking is hard on a car IMO.
One track day (90 minutes of all out driving) equals 2 months of driving.

What im saying is, going on a 300 mile + drive of all out driving at 100+ mph then hitting twisties with all of the same track driving with upshifts, quick downshifts, turns is still putting a good beating on the car, all im trying to say. Someone can say it hasent been tracked, ok that's cool but what if they drove hard on the street and in the twisties? Doesnt necessarily make it so much better, hope you understand where im coming from..
In conclusion, just because a car has been tracked it wont scare me away, because i know people could do more damage on the street to the car, or if they dont know what they are doing then an excellent driver doing a DE and not all out clubracing
Don't mean to interrupt your spat, but I drove a GT3 today and am now leaning toward that. Holy crap -- what a car!
I'm afraid to test drive the GT2. Same thing might happen to me there.
