GT2 for $100k

A local dealer is selling a CPO GT2 for $100k. It has 30k miles. Is that a steal, or is it simply a fair price? Seems low to me. And yes, I checked bluebook, but it doesn't seem like bluebook is very accurate for 996s. So what do you guys think?

Doesnt seem like much of a steal to me. There have been several for sale here with a quarter of the mileage for 10K more.

I think that's a fairly good deal as long as the car checks out ok. Do you get a longer warranty being a CPO car? If so, that alone is worth extra money to me.

Well...it is a CPO car (and most of the others are not), so if you don't plan on modding...I think it's a great price.

I know of another GT2 with 30-40k miles that sold under $70k. $85-90k is probably the right number on that car.

bobafett is infamous around these parts
it's not that great of a price at all. trade-in values on pristine gt2s are sub 100, and that's not even high mileage cars.

imo it's a fair market price, could probably haggle down a bit.

I figure if they're asking $100k, it's probably reasonable to assume you could get it for $90k. Maybe less. I was just wondering if the asking price was a steal or in the ballpark of fair. Now I know. Thanks guys!

I have a crazy itch to buy a TT or a GT2. I just can't decide which one, or whether to get something that's modded or stock. And then there's just so many choices out there. Arggghh. A person could go crazy.

Anyone know where the best place would be to read about the differences between a stock 996TT and stock GT2? I know the TT is AWD and lighter and lacks the badass front bumper, but honestly, I don't know much else. I would be a first-time Porsche buyer. Have an M3 now.

Thanks for all the guidance!

Me three, sounds like the same people who are infatuated with beat auction car prices!

TT is heavier by a good deal not lighter!! M3 is awesome, if your looking for a similar driving experience GT2 it is, do a search for TT vs GT2 there was just a recent thread covering everything. Thing is with mods and converting the TT to RWD its 100x easier to use all of its power, the GT2 can get scary!

Goodluck..

It was an 02 w/36k miles as I recall. Seal gray/black. Sold for $67k in Florida. Guy wanted to dump it. Didn't advertise it too heavily so I don't have proof but I missed it by a day or two. It was a great deal, not indicative of the market, but it happened.
