AWE K24 Power Kit Owners...
Looking for opinions/thoughts on your system.
How's the power delivery? From the dyno charts on their site it looks like bottom end TQ is actually less than stock until about 3,500 rpms. Is this noticable?
My plan is to get an X50 car and do a reflash and AWE exhaust. Seems like good bang for the buck since the X50 car already has the GT2 intercoolers and the K24 turbos...
The other option is to get a non-X50 car and do a hybrid. Which is probably more expensive route in the end but may give me better TQ down low.
Thoughts?

I have a non X-50 car. I have done the GIAC tune and exhaust. I have spoken with Mike at AWE and after meeting him and talking to him about his product, I would most likely go with his K24's. If you get an X-50 car they have the K24's already. Then you would do what you said and get the exhaust and program from AWE. You should probably just search for the exact car that fits your needs and then decide on how to tune.
I've always been confused over how AWE's packages differ from Evo, and if there is little difference (which appears to be the case), why aren't they just another major distributor of Evo tuning packages like Alex and Stephen? I know they obviously use GIAC programming, but every shop says their version of Garrett's programming is "custom" which is hard to believe. Just curious....Mike?
I went with the hybrids to avoid the low rpm lag........I love it. I'm very happy with the way the car feel. My last car was a single turbo supra and I hated the lag and wanted nothinG to do with it. No Lag, No problem.

K24s suck. They only make sense in Europe were the fun starts at 120mph.
With K24s you are waiting for the turbos to hit at 4,000 RPM. With an exhaust you'll have advertised to next 1 mile radius that you are speeding.
In my opinion a K16 with GIAC is much more fun than a K24 with GIAC. Unless, you are Germany and only need the High RPM power for long, open road, high speed driving.
BTW, at the high RPMs - over 4,ooo - dybrids move the same - or more - air.

He's stage 4. My question was aimed more at modded k24's vs. going the hybrid route. I want to get a sense of what the boost threshold is on a GIAC K24 and exhaust setup.

FYI.. there has been considerable work done here on hybrids by people much more knowledgeable than I. If they suck so much why would IA, Evo and Proto amongst others use them... Yup K16's are the bomb....cause you said so...

IMHO...since I had (GIAC + X50 K24s)Stage 3 ... and I can tell you from experience that fullboost wasnt 3100 rpm..not even close.
...One of the reasons why I went UMW Stage 2 Zero Clearance...just my $0.02 ...
If memory serves, the only difference between a Stage 3 and Stage 4 are headers... I think...

That's exactly the first hand experience I was looking for.
Saint Ari, how "soft" was the engine response below 3500? I know it's subjective but did you feel there was something missing? Obviously something was wrong since you changed out to ZC turbos...
Anyone else have any impressions on the low end torque of the GIAC/k24/exhaust setup?

Once again, just IMHO ... the K24's that came with my X50 just took quite a while to hit (even with GIAC Stage 3) ... dont get me wrong..it hit hard...really hard... just took a while.
I know its relative or maybe I'm just very impatient...
